Arayik Vladimiri Harutyunyan ( hy, Արայիկ Վլադիմիրի Հարությունյան; born 14 December 1973) is an Armenian politician who has been serving as the President of Artsakh since 2020. He was formerly the 1st State Minister from 2017 until his resignation in 2018 and 6th and last Prime Minister of the Republic of Artsakh from 2007 until its abolishment upon the adoption of a new constitution in 2017. Armen Harutyunyan ( hy, Արմեն Հարությունյան; born 1964) is the former ombudsman of Armenia and Regional Representative of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in Central Asia. Varazdat Harutyunyan (also Harutiunian, hy, Վարազդատ Հարությունյան; 29 November 1909 – 20 March 2008) was an Armenian academic, architect and writer. Biography Harutyunyan was born in the Ottoman Empire, in the town of Van, Turkey, Van, but he and his family were forced to flee into Russian territory during the Armenian genocide. They settled first in Tbilisi and then in Yerevan. In 1946, he obtained his Ph.D., and then Doctor of Science in architecture. In 1964, he became a professor of history. In 1996 he was elected Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia. In Armenia, he was also president of the Society for Protection of Historical Monuments.
