Ben Hartsock
Benjamin Richard Hartsock (born July 5, 1980) is a former American football tight-end and high-end role player. He played college football at Ohio State and was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the third round of the 2004 NFL Draft. Hartsock also played for the Tennessee Titans, Atlanta Falcons, New York Jets, and Carolina Panthers during his NFL career. Since retiring he has worked as a color analyst for pro and college football on Fox Sports Radio and ESPN Radio. Early years Hartsock attended Unioto High School in Chillicothe, Ohio, where he caught 86 passes for 1562 yards (18.16 yards reception). He also played running back, placekicker, and linebacker. Hartsock recorded 61 tackles, and 19 quarterback sacks during his senior season, after switching from linebacker to defensive end. Hartsock was a three-year captain and four-year letter winner. Nancy Hartsock
Nancy C. M. Hartsock (1943–2015) was a professor of Political Science and Women Studies (now Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies) at the University of Washington from 1984 to 2009. Personal life and education Hartsock was born in 1943 in a Methodist lower-middle class family, in Ogden, Utah. She attended Wellesley College. While there, Hartsock was involved in the Wellesley Civil Rights Group. This group provided tutoring in Roxbury and Boston, Massachusetts, as well as working with the Boston NAACP. After finishing college, Hartsock went to get her Masters Degree from the University of Chicago. There, she got involved with a community organization group called The Woodlawn Organization, which was started by activist Saul Alinsky. When Martin Luther King brought the Civil Rights movements north, Hartsock marched to help this movement. Ernest Hartsock
Ernest Abner Hartsock was an American poets of the 1920s. He published three volumes of poetry and served as a Professor of Poetics at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia. Suffering from pernicious anemia, Hartsock died on December 14, 1930, at the age of 27. Early years and education Hartsock was born on May 5, 1903, in Atlanta, Georgia. He was educated at Boys High School (later Grady High School) in Atlanta and earned BA and MA degrees from Emory University, where he was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity. After graduation, he became an instructor at Georgia Institute of Technology, Georgia School of Technology in 1927 before becoming Professor of Poetics at Oglethorpe in 1929, where he taught until his death. Jeffrey Roger Hartsock (born November 19, 1966) is a former Major League Baseball right-handed pitcher who played for the Chicago Cubs in 1992. Amateur career A native of Fairfield, Ohio, Hartsock is an alumnus of North Carolina State University, where he played college baseball for the Wolfpack from 1986 to 1988. In 1987, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Orleans Cardinals of the Cape Cod Baseball League. Professional career Hartsock was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 7th round of the 1988 MLB Draft. Prior to making his Major League debut, Hartsock would be traded to the Chicago Cubs for Steve Wilson on September 6, 1991.
