Hartius Möller
Hartius Gerhard Abraham Möller (January 22, 1885 – February 19, 1942) was an Estonian actor. Early life and education Hartius Möller was born at the Hellemäe farm in Tõrma, Estonia, the son of Hans Möller (1850–1920) and Leena Möller (née Lagrum, 1849–1894). He attended Rakvere City School, the Saint Petersburg Art School, and the Stieglitz Art School. Career After graduating, Möller acted in the Vanemuine theater troupe directed by Karl Menning. On July 23, 1910, at the Hellemäe farm, Möller married the Vanemuine actress (1890–1974), whose later acting name was Mari Möldre; they later divorced. During the First World War, Möller worked in Finland as a military supplier. Later he acted in Estonia and directed provincial theaters, including the Saaremaa Summer Theater. The People's Commissariat for Internal Affairs (russian: Наро́дный комиссариа́т вну́тренних дел, Naródnyy komissariát vnútrennikh del, ), abbreviated NKVD ( ), was the interior ministry of the Soviet Union. Established in 1917 as NKVD of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic, the agency was originally tasked with conducting regular police work and overseeing the country's prisons and labor camps. It was disbanded in 1930, with its functions being dispersed among other agencies, only to be reinstated as an all-union commissariat in 1934. The functions of the OGPU (the secret police organization) were transferred to the NKVD around the year 1930, giving it a monopoly over law enforcement activities that lasted until the end of World War II. 1924 Estonian Coup Attempt
The 1924 Estonian coup d'état attempt was a failed coup d'état, coup attempt in Estonia on 1 December 1924, conducted by the Comintern,Estonia and the Estonians, Hoover Institution Press, p.15 and staged by the Communist Party of Estonia and Bolsheviks who in most part had been infiltrated from the Soviet Union. Of the 279 actively participating pro-communist rebels, 125 were killed in action, later more than 500 people were arrested. The Estonian government forces lost 26 men. Background The Communist Party of Estonia had affiliated with the Comintern in 1920, and it continued underground activities in Estonia with strong Soviet Russian backing. The incapacity and death of Vladimir Lenin (January 21, 1924) triggered a struggle for power between Leon Trotsky and Joseph Stalin.
