Harry Woods (Australian Politician)
Harry Francis Woods (born 23 December 1947) was an Australian politician. He was the member for Page, New South Wales in the Australian House of Representatives, representing the Australian Labor Party from the March 1990 general election to his defeat in the March 1996 general election by the National Party's Ian Causley, who was the New Wales South State member for Clarence when he resigned to contest Page. Woods was elected as the Member for Clarence in the New South Wales Legislative Assembly for the Labor Party in May 1996 in the by-election that was triggered by Causley's resignation. He was only the second Labor member to win Clarence since its creation in 1859. Tony Kelly (politician)
Anthony Bernard Kelly (born 25 August 1948) is an Australian former politician, who was a member of the New South Wales Legislative Council representing the Australian Labor Party from 1997 until 2011. Following an investigation by the Independent Commission Against Corruption in 2011, it was found that Kelly engaged in corrupt conduct during the government purchase of a beach property in northern Sydney. Kelly did not face criminal charges. The Director of Public Prosecutions decided that there was insufficient evidence to proceed with a prosecution for forgery and misconduct in public office. Ernest Thomas (Ernie) Page (18 February 1935 – 20 May 2018) was an Australian politician, who served nine terms as Mayor of Waverley and was a Labor Party member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly from 1981 to 2003. Page was Minister for Local Government in the first government of Bob Carr from 1995 to 1999. Early life and career Page was educated at St Joseph's College, Hunters Hill and the University of New South Wales, and served two years as a conscript in the army in 1954–55. He worked as an engineer in the electricity industry before entering state politics, and was an active member of both the Labor Party and the trade union movement. Page was a councillor for the Waverley Municipal Council from 1962 to 1987, nine of those years as mayor. Steve Cansdell
Stephen Rhett Cansdell (born 23 September 1950 in Dubbo) is an Australian former professional boxer and former member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly. He was Australian professional light heavyweight boxing champion in 1973/1974 and Queensland professional heavyweight boxing champion from 1978 to 1981. Cansdell became champion with a sixth-round knockout over Johnny Gorkom; he lost to Greg Mcnamara over ten rounds in a non-title fight. Cansdell later trained future light heavyweight world champion Jeff Harding. He is married with four adult children. He was elected as a member of the Grafton City Council in 1993 Cansdell represented Clarence for the National Party from 2003 to 2011. The Australian Labor Party (New South Wales Branch), also known as NSW Labor, is the New South Wales branch of the Australian Labor Party. The parliamentary leader is elected from and by the members of the party caucus, comprising all party members in the Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council.
