Harry Ryan (hurler)
Harry Ryan (7 April 1957 – 24 November 2020) was an Irish hurler who played for the Kilkenny Senior Hurling team in the All Ireland Hurling Championship and his parish club Clara and at inter-county level. Ryan also played with Mount Leinster Rangers and was involved in coaching after his retirement from the game. He usually lined out as a left corner-forward. Ryan also achieved winning all Irelands at minor, U21 and Senior completing the holy grail of an intercounty hurlers career . Clara GAA
Clara GAA ( ga, CLG Chláraigh) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club situated in the small parish of Clara in County Kilkenny, Ireland. Focused mainly on hurling and camogie, the dominant sports in the county, Clara's greatest achievements to date are victories in the Kilkenny Senior Hurling Championship in 1986 2013, and in 2015 they secured their third title. Despite limited success at county level, Clara has produced several hurlers who have gone on play at inter-county level for Kilkenny. Jim Langton was born in the area, a winner of All-Ireland medals in 1939 and 1947, and a place on the GAA Hurling Team of the Century chosen in 1984. Paddy Prendergast was also a fixture in Kilkenny's defence in the 1970s and 1980s, winning three All-Ireland medals and three National Hurling League Medals. In team sport, captain is a title given to a member of the team. The title is frequently honorary, but in some cases the captain may have significant responsibility for strategy and teamwork while the game is in progress on the field. John Marnell (born 1956) is an Irish retired hurler who played as a left corner-back for the Kilkenny senior team. The Leinster GAA Hurling Minor Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the Electric Ireland Leinster GAA Hurling Minor Championship, is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Leinster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). The 1975 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship was the 45th staging of the All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1928. The championship began on 9 May 1975 and ended on 7 September 1975. Cork entered the championship as the defending champions. On 7 September 1975, Kilkenny won the championship following a 3-19 to 1-14 defeat of Cork in the All-Ireland final. This was their 10th All-Ireland title overall and their first title since 1973. The 1976 All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship was the 13th staging of the All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1964.
