Harry Andrew Moore (February 21, 1914 – July 3, 1998) was a dairy farmer and Canadian member of Parliament from 1962 to 1972. Political career Moore first ran for a seat in the House of Commons of Canada in the 1962 Canadian federal election, 1962 federal election. He defeated a field of 3 candidates by comfortable margin to win the Wetaskiwin (federal electoral district), Wetaskiwin electoral district. Parliament would be dissolved a year later when the minority Progressive Conservative government fell. This forced the 1963 Canadian federal election, 1963 federal election. Moore increased his vote total, easily winning re-election. Moore ran for a third term in office in the 1965 Canadian federal election, 1965 federal election winning a third term with a slightly reduced plurality. Harry Moore (Australian Politician)
Harry Frank Moore, (29 March 1924 – 14 August 2009) was an Australian Labor Party politician, elected as a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly for the Tuggerah from 1981 to 1988 and for Wyong from 1988 to 1991. Moore was a veteran of World War II, in which he served in the Australian Army in the Pacific. In 1989, he was responsible for new laws in the New South Wales Parliament which legalised the traditional soldier's game of Two-up on Anzac Day each year. Moore was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia in 1993 in recognition of his community service, and the Centenary Medal The Centenary Medal is an award which was created by the Australian Government in 2001. It was established to commemorate the centenary of the Federation of Australia and to recognise "people who made a contribution to Australian society or go ... for his service to politics in 2001. Harry Charles Moore
Harry Charles Moore (May 5, 1941 – May 16, 1997) was an American convicted murderer who was executed in Oregon for the 1992 murders of Thomas Lauri and Barbara Cunningham. He was the second person executed by the state of Oregon since 1978 and remains the state's most recent execution. Murders Harry Charles Moore had been married to two of his nieces. Moore shot Thomas Lauri four times in the face with a 9 mm pistol in front of a Salem post office. Moore then drove to Cunningham's house and shot her in the abdomen. He then fired three more rounds into her head. Cunningham was Moore's half-sister and Lauri was her former husband. Moore said he had killed them because he thought they would move to Las Vegas with his estranged wife and baby daughter, and expose them to a life of prostitution and drugs. Harry Wilkinson Moore, FRIBA (1850–1915) was a Victorian and Edwardian architect. He was the son of Arthur Moore (1814–1873) and Mary Wilkinson (1821–1904), and a nephew of the architects George Wilkinson and William Wilkinson. Career Moore was a pupil of William Wilkinson in 1872 and assistant to Alfred Waterhouse in 1878. Moore was in partnership with William Wilkinson from 1881.
