Harry Lipscomb
Harry Lipscomb (April 2, 1878 – September 7, 1926) was a United States Navy sailor and a recipient of the United States military's highest decoration, the Medal of Honor. Biography Lipscomb was born on April 2, 1878, in Washington, D.C. He enlisted in the Navy from that city in around 1900 and by September 8, 1910, was serving as a watertender on the . On that day, while the ''North Dakota'' was conducting tests using oil as fuel, an explosion occurred, killing three sailors and endangering the ship. The United States Army Center of Military History (CMH) is a directorate within the United States Army Training and Doctrine Command. The Institute of Heraldry remains within the Office of the Administrative Assistant to the Secretary of the Army.
