Harry Hall (c. 1814 – 22 April 1882) was an English equestrian painter, whose works were in demand by horse owners. His output was prolific and he was the foremost racehorse portraitist of his time: his style has been described as being "strikingly modern... when compared with many of his contemporaries". He also produced other types of portraits and shooting scenes. Career Hall was born in Cambridge sometime around the middle of the second decade of the 19th century (dates of 1813, 1814, 1815, and 1816 are to be found in biographies). He first appeared as an artist at Tattersalls, working on a number of their publications; initially ''British Racehorses'' and ''The Sporting Review''. He graduated to become chief artist of '' The Field''. He produced a great volume of work, much of which was engraved. ''The Sporting Magazine'' published 114 plates by Hall. Harry Hall was an English footballer who played as an inside-forward for Southampton in the Southern League in 1915. Football career Hall was born in Fleckney in Leicestershire and played his early football with Market Harborough Town in the Leicestershire Senior League. Harry Hall (footballer, Born 1900)
Harry Hall (4 May 1897 – 23 June 1924) was an English footballer who played as an outside right in the Football League for Lincoln City and Darlington. Hall was born in 1897 in Southwell, Nottinghamshire, son of Charley Hall and Harriet Ann (née Kemp). In the 1920–21 season, Hall played for Pinxton in the Derbyshire Senior League. Towards the end of the season, he joined Midland League club Lincoln City on trial. Having produced a good performance for the club's reserves, he made his senior debut on 30 April 1921 against Rotherham County. His corner led to Lincoln's opening goal in a 2–1 win that confirmed the club as champions, he was signed up for the season to come, and played in the remaining two matches of the Midland League season. Harry Hall ( 1929 – 28 October 2007) was a British cycling mechanic and cycle shop owner. Hall was born in Manchester, England in 1928 or 1929. An enthusiastic cyclist, in 1955 Hall gave up his job as a printer to establish ''Harry Hall Cycles''. His first shop was at 400 Hyde Road, West Gorton which he opened in 1956 in a small terraced house near Belle Vue. Times were tough at the start and Hall worked as a delivery driver by day and built wheels at night, whist his wife Jean ran the shop. Hall moved to a larger shop in central Manchester at 30 Cathedral Street in 1960. Business was good, the shop was very popular and he expanded to include no. 32 next door. Hall was a member of Tame Valley RC and he supported and sponsored the popular and successful Manchester club. Harry Mark Hall (born 19 November 1970) is a former English cricketer. Hall was a right-handed batsman who bowled slow left-arm orthodox. He was born at Wokingham, Berkshire. Hall made his debut for Berkshire in the 1994 Minor Counties Championship against Cornwall. From 1994 to 2000, he represented the county in 10 Minor Counties Championships matches, with his final appearance for the county in that competition coming against Cornwall. He also represented Berkshire in 10 MCCA Knockout Trophy matches from 1993 to 2000. Hall also represented Berkshire in List-A cricket, with his debut List-A game coming against Leicestershire in the 1996 NatWest Trophy. He represented the county in 5 further List-A matches, with his final List-A appearance for the county coming against Durham in 2000 NatWest Trophy. Harry Hall (22 May 1906 Macclesfield, Cheshire - 15 February 1986 Kirstenbosch), was a British-born horticulturist, botanist and succulent plant authority. Early life and education Hall attended Cheshire Agricultural College for one year (1925–26), Reading University in (1926–27) and two years at the John Innes Horticultural Institute in Wimbledon (1927–29). He then enrolled for a further three-year course (1930–1933) at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, followed by being an exchange student for one year (1931–1932) at the Hanbury Botanical Garden in La Mortola in Italy. Here his passion for succulent plants was ignited, and on his return to Kew headed the section dealing with the cactus and succulent collection. Career Hall's training at Kew was complete by 1933, whereupon he became curator of the succulent plant collection at Alexandra Park, Manchester.
