Harold King (politician)
Harold Welbourn King (11 July 1906 – 24 August 1983) was an Australian politician who represented the South Australian House of Assembly seat of Chaffey for the Liberal and Country League from 1956 to 1962. King had been a bank official, packing shed executive and fruitgrower before entering politics. He was elected to the Legislative Assembly at the 1956 election, defeating 18-year independent incumbent and government critic William MacGillivray after the LCL exchanged preferences with Labor to oust MacGillivray. Harold King (rugby League)
Harold King (1904–1978) was an Australian rugby league footballer who played in the 1920s. Harry King came to St. George from Main Arm, near Mullumbimby, New South Wales in 1922 during the club's second season in the NSWRFL. King played his junior football with Mullumbimby Rugby Union Club with his best mate Vic Armbruster. Harry King stayed two seasons at Saints before joining Eastern Suburbs in 1925 for a season before heading back to Queensland to get married in 1926. Harold King (February 1, 1944 - March 23, 2019) was an American former professional baseball player. He played in Major League Baseball and the Mexican League as a catcher from to for the Houston Astros, Texas Rangers, Atlanta Braves, Cincinnati Reds and the Saltillo Saraperos. Baseball career Born in Oviedo, Florida, King attended Oviedo High School and began his professional baseball career in 1962 with the barnstorming Negro league Indianapolis Clowns, and played for the team through 1964.
