Brett Alan Harkins (born July 2, 1970) is an American former professional ice hockey left wing, who played for 18 years. He played in the National Hockey League in four stints with the Boston Bruins, Florida Panthers, and Columbus Blue Jackets between 1994 and 2002. As of January 2020, Harkins had served as a college-level scout for the Boston Bruins for over four seasons. Harkins is also the younger brother of Todd Harkins, who played for the Hartford Whalers and Calgary Flames. Gary Harkins (born 2 January 1985) is a Scottish professional footballer and coach who plays as a midfielder. Having come through the youth academies at Celtic and Blackburn Rovers he would notably play in the Scottish Premiership for Kilmarnock, Dundee and St. Mirren. He also played in the English Football League for Huddersfield Town, Bury, Blackpool, Grimsby Town and Oldham Athletic, and in the Scottish Football League for Partick Thistle, Ayr United, Greenock Morton, Queen of the South, Stenhousemuir and Forfar Athletic. John Raymond Harkins (September 7, 1932 – March 5, 1999) was an American stage, film, and television actor. Life and career Born in St. Louis, Missouri, where he attended Normandy High School, Harkins began acting professionally in the mid-1950s on the Broadway stage after studying at the University of Iowa. A life member of The Actors Studio, Harkins appeared in productions of ''The Terrible Swift Sword'', ''Good as Gold'', and ''Mother Courage and Her Children'', prior to making his television debut in a 1965 episode of ''The Trials of O'Brien''. John Joseph "Pa" Harkins (April 12, 1859 – November 20, 1940) was a 19th-century Major League Baseball player who pitched for three teams in his five season career that lasted from to . Playing career After attending Rutgers University as a chemistry student, he signed a contract with a Semi-professional team based in Trenton, New Jersey in 1881. He played with Trenton until 1884 when he was sold to the Cleveland Blues of the National League. John finished his first major league season with 12 wins against 32 losses, 42 complete games, and a 3.68 earned run average. When the 1884 season finished, the Blues folded, and many of their player were bought by the Brooklyn Grays, including John, Doc Bushong, George Pinkney, and Germany Smith. John Anderson Harkins (10 April 1881 – 22 April 1916) was a Scottish professional footballer who played in the Football League for Leeds City and Middlesbrough. Personal life Harkins enlisted in the Black Watch in June 1898 and was bought out of the army by Middlesbrough in September 1906. Soon after Britain's entry into the First World War in August 1914, Harkins re-enlisted in the Black Watch.
