Hari Shankar and Harish Narayan are an Indian director and writer duo predominantly working in Tamil film industry. Hari and Harish are pioneers as filmmakers of three consecutive first-of-its-kind movies in Tamil, namely Orr Eravuu (2010), India's First Viewpoint film, Ambuli (2012), first Stereoscopic 3D Tamil film and Aaaah (2014), first horror anthology Tamil film. Orr Eravuu
''Orr Eravuu'' ( ta, ஓர் இரவு; en, One night) is a 2010 Tamil independent horror film directed by three debutants, Hari Shankar, Hareesh Narayan and Krishna Sekhar. The film is about Paranormal occurrences. Spirits and ghosts are believed to have a close kinship with the night. Based on this concept ''Orr Eravuu'' was made. The entire film was shot from the protagonist's viewpoint, using shaky camerawork, reportedly the first Indian viewpoint film. Plot Nakulan Ponnusamy, a paranormal investigator and proprietor of Silver Chord Services, travels from Chennai to Munnar where he goes to solve a case of a house believed to be haunted, belonging to businessman Anand Chandrasekar. ''Ambuli'' ( ta, அம்புலி, moon) is the first Tamil stereoscopic science fiction 3D film written and directed by Hari Shankar and Hareesh Narayan in 2012 who earlier directed ''Orr Eravuu'' in 2010 and produced by KTVR Loganathan. The movie ran for over 100 days and became a box-office success. The film was released on 17 February 2012. Plot The film begins with happenings in the Maize fields in a village in South India, where a British forest ranger, who is in charge of the fields, has been alerted by some strange noises coming from inside the fields.
