Hari Bansha Acharya
Hari Bansha Acharya ( ne, हरिवंश आचार्य) is a Nepalese actor, comedian, director, singer and writer. He is known for his method acting. He is one half of the comedy duo MaHa Jodi along with fellow comedian Madan Krishna Shrestha. He is known for his performance as Arjun in the 1997 patriotic drama film '' Balidaan''. He has also performed in the series Madan Bahadur Hari Bahadur as "Hari Bahadur". He also wrote and performed in the film ''Shatru Gatey''. Personal life Hari Bansha Acharya was born on 27 Kartik 2014 BS (13 November 1957 AD) in Gairidhara, Kathmandu, to father Homanjaya Acharya and mother Ganesh Kumari. He met his first wife, Meera, in 1982. He has two sons, Trilok Acharya and Mohit Acharya. His first wife, Meera Acharya, suffered from heart disease, and died in 2011. MaHa ( ne, मह जोडी) is the acronym of the comedy duo Madan Krishna Shrestha and Hari Bansha Acharya of Nepal in Devanagari script. The acronym was coined by another contemporary comedian, Rajaram Paudel. MaHa is also renowned for trying to awaken society on social and political issues through their programs. Gyanendra Shah ( ne, ज्ञानेन्द्र शाह, born 7 July 1947) is a former monarch who was the last King of Nepal, reigning from 2001 to 2008. As a child, he was briefly king from 1950 to 1951, when his grandfather, Tribhuvan, took political asylum in India with the rest of his family. Newar Language
Newar (), or Newari and known officially in Nepal as Nepal Bhasa, is a Sino-Tibetan language spoken by the Newar people, the indigenous inhabitants of Nepal Mandala, which consists of the Kathmandu Valley and surrounding regions in Nepal. "Nepal Bhasa" literally means "Nepalese language", however the language is not the same as Nepali (Devanāgarī: नेपाली), the country's current official language of the central government. The two languages belong to different language families (Sino-Tibetan and Indo-European, respectively), but centuries of contact have resulted in a significant body of shared vocabulary. ''Silu'' ( ne, सिलु) is the first film to be made in the Newar language. The movie depicts the pain of separation of a couple from Kathmandu after the wife gets kidnapped while on a pilgrimage in the Himalaya, and the sufferings her husband goes through to get her back from her captors. The musical film is based on a ballad in Nepal Bhasa written in the early 19th century which describes a journey to Silu, the sacred lake known as Gosaikunda located in the Himalaya. There is a belief in Newar society that a husband and wife should not make the trip together as it could result in a misfortune. ''Basudev'' is a 1984 Nepali language film, adapted from Dhruba Chandra Gautam's '' Kattel Sarko Chotpatak'' by Neer Shah in his directorial debut. The film starred Harihar Sharma as the eponymous character, with Shakuntala Sharma, Subhadra Adhikari, Krishna Malla, Sharmila Malla and director Shah himself in supporting roles, while Madan Krishna Shrestha and Hari Bansha Acharya were credited as guest actors.
