The University of Hargeisa ( so, Jaamacadda Hargeysa, ar, جامعة هرجيسا, abbreviated UoH) is a public university located in Hargeisa, the capital of Somaliland. The institution was founded in 1998. It is the leading and largest higher education institution in the country and provides a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in different fields. Musa Bihi Abdi ( so, Muuse Biixi Cabdi, ar, موسى بيحي عبدي) (born 1948 in Hargeisa, British Somaliland, now Somaliland) is a Somaliland politician and former military officer who has been President of Somaliland since December 2017. During the 1970s, he served as a pilot in the Somali Air Force under the Siad Barre administration. In 2010, Bihi was appointed the Chairman of the ruling Kulmiye of Republic of Somaliland. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi ( so, Cabdiraxmaan Maxamed Cabdillaahi Cirro, ar, عبد الرحمن محمد عبد الله) (born 24 April 1955), also known as Irro, is a Somaliland politician, who served as speaker of Somaliland House of Representatives (lower chamber) of the first-elected parliament. The Kulmiye Peace, Unity and Development Party ( so, Xisbiga Kulmiye Nabad, Midnimo iyo Horumarka; ar, حزب التضامن), also known as simply Kulmiye (), is a political party in Somaliland. Abdirahman Aw Ali Farrah, nicknamed Tolwaa ( so, Cabdiraxmaan Aw Cali Faarax, ar, عبدالرحمن أو علي فارح) is a Somali politician who was the third Vice President of Somaliland from May 1995 to February 1997. Khadra Hussein Mohammad
Khadra Hussein Mohammad is a Somali lawyer, who became the first National Deputy Prosecutor in Somaliland in 2010. She was supported in her training by the United Nations Development Programme. Mohammad is also the first female judge in Somalia. Career Khadra Hussein Mohammad's legal training was supported by the United Nations Development Programme. She studied at the Law School within the University of Hargeisa, which was established by the UNDP. Hargeisa (; so, Hargeysa, ar, هرجيسا) is the capital and largest city of the Republic of Somaliland. It is located in the Maroodi Jeex region of the Horn of Africa.
