Harbor Moon
Harbor Moon is an original horror graphic novel created by Ryan Colucci in 2010. Written by Colucci and Dikran Ornekian, with a story by Brian Anderson and artwork by Polish artist Pawel Sambor. The book debuted at San Diego Comic-con 2010 through Shuster award winning publisher Arcana Studio. Harbor Moon tells the story of professional soldier Timothy Vance. When he receives information from someone claiming to be his long-lost father, he takes a trip to out-of-the-way Harbor Moon, Maine. It turns out that man hasn’t been there in thirty years and pretty soon Tim’s life is in danger. Fighting for the truth and his survival, Tim discovers that Harbor Moon is harboring a secret. Graphic Novel
A graphic novel is a long-form, fictional work of sequential art. The term ''graphic novel'' is often applied broadly, including fiction, non-fiction, and anthologized work, though this practice is highly contested by comic scholars and industry professionals. It is, at least in the United States, typically distinct from the term ''comic book'', which is generally used for comics periodicals and trade paperbacks (see American comic book). Fan historian Richard Kyle coined the term ''graphic novel'' in an essay in the November 1964 issue of the comics fanzine ''Capa-Alpha''. Ryan Colucci
Ryan Patrick Colucci (born 1978) is an American feature film producer, writer and comic book creator. Early life Originally from Levittown, New York, he grew up in Syosset, New York. Career After graduating from USC's Peter Stark Producing Program, he worked at Snoot Entertainment, where he was a producer on the CG-animated feature ''Battle for Terra''. That film premiered at the 2007 Toronto International Film Festival and was released on May 1, 2009 from Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions, in both 2D and 3D. It was on the Academy Award short-list for the Best Animated Film Oscar in 2009. Colucci's feature film ''White Space'' is currently in post-production, in association with Spoke Lane Entertainment. Shuster Award
The Joe Shuster Canadian Comic Book Creator Awards (or Joe Shuster Awards) are given out annually for outstanding achievements in the creation of comic books, graphic novels, webcomics, and comics retailers and publishers by Canadians. The awards, first handed out in April 2005, are named in honour of Joe Shuster (1914–1992), the Canadian-born co-creator of Superman. The Canadian Comic Book Creator Awards Association is a not-for-profit organization formed in 2004 to administer the awards. Arcana Studio
Arcana Studio is a Canadian animation studio in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. Founded as a comic book publisher by former Coquitlam, British Columbia school teacher Sean O'Reilly in 2004, in 2012 Arcana opened its animation division. Overview Arcana is Canada's largest publisher of comics and graphic novels, with over 300 titles in its library covering all genres and age groups. Arcana's titles have been translated into different languages, including French, Italian, Greek, Spanish and Polish. Arcana formed in 2004 when Sean O'Reilly first published and wrote the comic book series ''Kade'' starting with Kade #1. Sean wrote the issue, with artist Eduardo Garcia drawing and coloring the series. With Diamond Comics as the distributor, Arcana's first comic went on shelves December 31, 2003. Werewolves
