Harald Saue
Harald Saue (20 February 1876 – 28 December 1958) was a Norwegian farmer and politician for the Agrarian Party and later Nasjonal Samling. He was born at Saue in Lier as a son of farmers Kristen Nilsen Saue (1844–1923) and Gina Helgerud (1849–1938). He had various jobs in his early life, including the construction and managing of the factory Nittedals Torvstrøfabrik. He was also a petty officer in the Norwegian military from 1900 to 1916. In 1905 he left his factory to take over the family farm in Lier. He has been listed as having held "almost all municipal posts" in Lier, and was a board member of the Lier Line and the local savings bank. He chaired the county branch of the Norwegian Agrarian Association for eleven years, as well as the county branch of the Agrarian Party. He chaired the countywide agrarian association ''Buskeruds landbruksselskap'' from 1928 to 1932, having been a board member since 1915. Harald Løvenskiold
Harald Løvenskiold (9 February 1926 – 28 January 1994) was a Norwegian landowner and businessperson. Personal life He was born in Aker as a son of landowner Carl Otto Løvenskiold, member of Løvenskiold family and Henny Størmer. Harald was a maternal grandson of Carl Størmer paternal grandson of Harald Løvenskiold, great-grandson of Prime Minister Carl Otto Løvenskiold, great-great-grandson of Otto Joachim Løvenskiold and great-great-great-grandson of Severin Løvenskiold. He married Ingegjerd Ebba Dagmar Andvord, a daughter of ambassador Rolf Andvord. They had the son Carl Otto Løvenskiold. Career Harald Løvenskiold finished his secondary education in 1944, and subsequently graduated from Brown University in 1949, however prior to his graduation from college, he took commerce school and forestry school. Legal Purge In Norway After World War II
The purge in Norway after World War II was a purge that took place between May 1945 and August 1948 against anyone who was deemed to have collaborated with the German occupation of the country. Several thousand Norwegians and foreign citizens were tried and convicted for crimes committed in Scandinavia during the Second World War. However, the scope, legal basis, and fairness of these trials has since been a matter of some debate. A total of 40 people—including Vidkun Quisling, the Prime Minister of Norway during the occupation—were executed after capital punishment was reinstated in Norway. Thirty-seven of those executed were executed under Norwegian law, while the other three were executed under Allied military law. A further five were sentenced to death and executed in Poland for their actions in Norway. The Eidsivating Court of Appeal ( no, Eidsivating lagmannsrett) is one of six courts of appeal in the Kingdom of Norway. The Court is located in the city of Hamar.
