''Happy Come Home'' is the debut studio album by American singer-songwriter Victoria Williams. It has received positive reviews from critics. Reception Editors at AllMusic rated this album 4 out of 5 stars, with critic Lindsay Planer writing "''Happy Come Home'' is the personification of the word eclectic" and "there is an undeniable strength and maturity in Williams' songwriting". In ''Spin'', Billy Altman praised Williams' vocals and songwriting that shows she is "blissfully at peace with the universe". In a review of Williams' career for '' Trouser Press'' by Ira Robins, Wif Stenger, and Floyd Eberhard, the publication blames producers Anton Fier and Stephen Soles for "burying Williams and her eccentric voice in a massive studio effort", but praised the string arrangements by Van Dyke Parks. Victoria Williams
Victoria Williams (born December 23, 1958) is an American singer, songwriter and musician, originally from Shreveport, Louisiana, United States, although she has resided in Southern California throughout her musical career. Diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in the early 1990s, Williams was the catalyst for the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund. Biography Williams was born in Shreveport, Louisiana. In 1986, she worked with then-husband Peter Case on his debut album, following a year later with her own debut, ''Happy Come Home'', produced by Anton Fier, with an accompanying 28 minute documentary by D. A. Pennebaker. In 1990, she released ''Swing the Statue''. She also often appeared onstage and on record with the band Giant Sand. Bernie Worrell
George Bernard Worrell, Jr. (April 19, 1944 – June 24, 2016) was an American keyboardist and record producer best known as a founding member of Parliament-Funkadelic and for his work with Talking Heads. He is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, inducted in 1997 with fifteen other members of Parliament-Funkadelic. Hans Christian (also seen as Hans Christian Reumschüssel and other variations) is a German-born musician and producer now based in the U.S. in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. Christian is a multi-instrumentalist (bass guitar, cello, nyckelharpa, and sarangi, but also balalaika, santoor, sitar, tambura, etc.) usually associated with world music, ethnic fusion, chamber jazz and sometimes new-age music, but who also plays electronic and classical music. Bobby Previte (born July 16, 1951 in Niagara Falls, New York) is a drummer, composer, and bandleader. He earned a degree in economics from the University at Buffalo, where he also studied percussion. He moved to New York City in 1979 and began professional relationships with John Zorn, Wayne Horvitz, and Elliott Sharp.
