Happiness Is Easy
''Happiness Is Easy'' (released on 19 May 2006) is the eighth studio album by Polish alternative rock band Myslovitz. The album overlooks '' Skalary, mieczyki, neonkis psychedelic soundscapes and returns to sounds of 1999's '' Miłość w czasach popkultury'' and 2002's '' Korova Milky Bar'' in the first and second half of the album respectively. The title of the album is taken from the name of the first track on Talk Talk's album ''The Colour of Spring''. Further reference to new wave music is found in the title of track seven, which references Talking Heads (but, also or even more probably, to Krzysztof Kieślowski's documentary movie from 1980 - "Gadające głowy"''(Talking Heads)''. The songs make multiple references to recent news stories at the time of recording, and so, "Książę życia umiera" is about George Best's "Don't die like me" message. Myslovitz
Myslovitz is a Polish rock band. The band take their name from their industrial hometown of MysÅ‚owice in the Upper Silesia region of southern Poland. Band history Guitarist and vocalist Artur Rojek started the band in 1992 as "The Freshmen", taking the initial name from the 1990 film '' The Freshman'', starring Marlon Brando and Matthew Broderick, indicating a fascination with cinema that would become a characteristic feature throughout the band's career. In 1994 they changed their name to Myslovitz. The band's early phase was characterised by a somewhat debonair punk attitude, as Rojek admits: :''"I started Myslovitz in 1992. New Wave Music
New wave is a loosely defined music genre that encompasses pop-oriented styles from the late 1970s and the 1980s. Andrzej Smolik
Andrzej Smolik (born 10 February 1970, in Swinoujscie) is a Polish musician, composer, music producer, and multi-instrumentalist. He began his career as a keyboard player in the band Wilki in 1993. Later he collaborated with Wilki's vocalist, Robert Gawliński on the production of his solo album ''Solo.'' In 1996 and 1997 Smolik worked with the group Hey. He also collaborated with Hey's vocalist Kasia Nosowska on her solo album ''Milena'' in 1998. In following years he continued to work with Nosowska and Gawliński on their subsequent solo projects. He also worked with DJ Novika and with the group Myslovitz, and Artur Rojek, Mika Urbaniak, Krzysztof Krawczyk. Smolik won the national "Fryderyk" award for composers in 2003 and 2004. ''Hotel Rwanda'' is a 2004 drama film directed by Terry George. It was adapted from a screenplay co-written by George and Keir Pearson, and stars Don Cheadle and Sophie Okonedo as hotelier Paul Rusesabagina and his wife Tatiana. Maria Peszek
Maria Teresa Peszek (born September 9, 1973) is a Polish singer, songwriter and actress. She embarked on a professional acting career in the early 1990s and went on to appear in over 40 stage plays, as well as a number of feature films and television series. ''The Colour of Spring'' is the third studio album by English band Talk Talk, released on 17 February 1986. Written by Mark Hollis and producer Tim Friese-Greene, the album combines elements of jazz and art pop in an effort by Hollis to embrace more organic instrumentation and production values. Unlike previous Talk Talk albums, synthesizers are rarely featured on the album, being replaced by guitar, piano, and organ. ''Korova Milky Bar'' is the fifth studio album by Polish alternative rock band Myslovitz. It was released in 2002, and followed in 2003 by a release of the English version, which in fact included four songs from the band's previous album, '' Miłość w czasach popkultury''. The title of the album is a reference to the Korova Milk Bar in Stanley Kubrick's classic screen version of ''A Clockwork Orange''. Strikingly, the melancholic elements took over almost completely, with both music and lyrics creating an almost depressive overall mood.
