Hapoel Bnei Fureidis F.C. ( he, הפועל בני פוריידיס) is an Israeli football club based in Fureidis. The club currently plays in Liga Bet North B division. History A club called Hapoel Fureidis played in the league since the early 1970s. The club was promoted, for the first time in its history, to Liga Bet at the end of the 1986–87 season, but relegated back to Liga Gimel at the end of the season. The club returned to Liga Bet ahead of the 1994–95 season, where the club played for eight seasons, before the club folded after relegating to Liga Gimel at the end of the 2001–02 season. Hapoel Bnei Fureidis was established in 2010 and registered to play in Liga Gimel Samaria Division. In 2015–16 the club missed on promotion as it finished 2nd in the Jezreel division, six points behind league winners Hapoel Bnei Ar'ara 'Ara. Fureidis (also Freidis; ar, فريديس, he, פֻרֵידִיס) is an Arab town in the Haifa District of Israel. It received local council status in 1952. In its population was . Liga Gimel ( he, ליגה ג', lit. ''League C'') is the fifth and bottom division of Israeli Football League, a position it has held since 2009. From Liga Alef and downwards to this, each league is separated by region as well. History Liga Gimel was first established in 1951 as a third division, below Liga Alef and Liga Bet. In 1955, after designating the first tier as Liga Leumit, Liga Gimel was demoted to the fourth tier. The 2011–12 Israel State Cup ( he, גביע המדינה, ''Gvia HaMedina'') was the 73rd season of Israel's nationwide football cup competition and the 58th after the Israeli Declaration of Independence. The Israel State Cup ( he, גביע המדינה, ''Gvia HaMedina''), is a knockout cup competition in Israeli football, run by the Israel Football Association (IFA). The State Cup was first held in 1928 as the People's Cup. Because it involves clubs of all standards playing against each other, there is the possibility for "minnows" from the lower divisions to become "giant-killers" by eliminating top clubs from the tournament, although lower division teams rarely reach the final. The current holders of the State Cup are the Israeli Premier League club Hapoel Haifa, who beat Beitar Jerusalem in the 2018 final on May 9, 2018. The Betar Movement ( he, תנועת בית"ר), also spelled Beitar (), is a Revisionist Zionist youth movement founded in 1923 in Riga, Latvia, by Vladimir (Ze'ev) Jabotinsky.
