Hansjörg Göritz (English: Hansjoerg Goeritz; born 5 June 1959) is a German-American architect, professor, author and designer associated with pure and minimalist architecture that emphasizes place, space, light and material. For his early works he was awarded one of the most prestigious architecture awards in Germany in 1996, the Development Award Baukunst to the Kunstpreis Berlin by the Academy of Arts, Berlin. In 2013 he was recognized as an Affiliated Fellow to the American Academy in Rome. Biography Goeritz was born in Hannover, West Germany and grew up in the vernacular context of Lower Saxony as the son of a mason. He is the founder and former president and chairman of Synthes, a medical device manufacturer. His Wyss Foundation has nearly $2 billion in assets. Hansjörg Felmy (born Hans-Jörg Hellmuth Felmy; 31 January 1931 – 24 August 2007) was a German actor. He appeared in 50 films and television shows between 1957 and 1995. Films like ''Der Stern von Afrika'' and ''Wir Wunderkinder'' made him a well-known actor in the late 1950s. He starred in the film ''The Marriage of Mr. Mississippi'' (1961), which was entered into the 11th Berlin International Film Festival. In the popular German television crime series ''Tatort'' he played police investigator Heinz Haferkamp from 1974 to 1980. In an international film appearance, he played the Stasi officer Heinrich Gerhard in Alfred Hitchcock's ''Torn Curtain'' (1966) who hunts the leading characters played by Julie Andrews and Paul Newman. Hansjörg Walter (born 5 February 1951, in Frauenfeld) is a Swiss politician of the Swiss People's Party. He was a member of the Swiss National Council for the canton of Thurgau (1999–2017) and president of the Swiss Farmers' Union (2000–2012). Walter served as the President of the National Council (2011–2012). Biography Walter graduated from the Agricultural School Strickhof and underwent advanced agricultural and commercial training. Hansjörg Vogel (born 16 March 1951 in Bern) is a Swiss theologian and laicized bishop, who was from 1994 until his resignation in 1995 the Roman Catholic bishop of the Basel. Life On 28 November 1976, he received his priestly ordination. After his election as bishop of Basel and the confirmation by the Pope John Paul II, he was nominated as bishop on 4 April 1994. The episcopal consecration was given by his predecessor in office, Otto Wüst. On 2 June 1995, he resigned from his office after it became known that he would soon be a father. Hansjörg Pauli (3 March 1931 – 15 February 2007) was a Swiss musicologist, pianist, journalist, music critic, screenwriter, and film director. Life and career Hansjörg Pauli was born in Winterthur, Switzerland on 3 March 1931. He studied at the Winterthur Conservatory from which he graduated in 1953. He pursued further studies in London with Hans Keller. He began working as a music critic and journalist for Swiss newspapers in 1956. One of the publications he wrote criticism for was ''Neues Winterthurer Tageblatt''. He also worked as a jazz pianist in the 1950s. Hansjörg Kunze (born 28 December 1959) is a German track and field athlete. He represented East Germany as a long distance runner. His biggest success was the bronze medal in the 5000 meter run at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, Korea. He represented Empor Rostock sport club. He had a notable win on 9 September 1981 in Rieti, Italy, when he set a European record in the 5000 meter run with a time of 13:10.40 and beat Kenyan Henry Rono who had dominated that season.
