Hansheiri Inderkum
Hansheiri Inderkum (born 9 June 1947 in Altdorf, Switzerland) is a Swiss politician from the Christian Democratic People's Party of Switzerland (CVP). From 1995 to 2011 he represented the canton of Uri in the Council of States (Switzerland), Council of States. From 2010 to 2011 Inderkum served as the List of Presidents of the Swiss Council of States, President of the Council of States. Biography A professional lawyer, Inderkum was elected to the council of Altdorf (1979–1981), where he served as mayor (1980–1981). From 1984 to 1996 he worked for the CVP in Uri district, which he presided over in 1992–1993. In the 1995 elections he was elected to the Council of States for the canton of Uri, being re-elected in 1999, 2003, and 2007. Inderkum was also president of the Uri CVP (1982–1989). Altdorf (sometimes written as ''Altdorf UR'' in order to distinguish it from the other "Altdorfs"; German for "old village") is a historic town and municipality in Switzerland. The Council of States (german: Ständerat, french: Conseil des États, it, Consiglio degli Stati, rm, Cussegl dals Stadis) is the upper house of the Federal Assembly of Switzerland, with the National Council being the lower house. It comprises 46 members. Twenty of the country's cantons are represented by two Councillors each. Six cantons, traditionally called "half cantons", are represented by one Councillor each for historical reasons. Erika Forster-Vannini
Erika Forster-Vannini (née Vannini; born 27 February 1944) is a Swiss businesswoman and former politician. She served as a member on the Council of States (Switzerland) for The Liberals from 1995 to 2011, which she presided from 2009 to 2010. Between 1988 and 1996 she served on the Grand Council of St. Gallen, which she presided in 1994/1995. Early life and education Forster was born 27 February 1944 in Zürich, Switzerland, a daughter of Hans 'Jean' (1902-2005) and Emilie Vannini. She has two sisters. Hans Altherr (born 29 April 1950, in St. Gallen, Switzerland) is a Swiss politician. He is a member of FDP.The Liberals and served as President of the Council of States in 2011 and 2012. Biography Altherr studied law at the Universities of Geneva and Zurich and subsequently worked as an independent lawyer and youth attorney for the Canton Appenzell Ausserrhoden. From 1976 to 1993, he was a councillor in Trogen and later a cantonal representative (1989–1998). From 1998 to 2005 he served on the Executive Council, then as Landammann (2000–2003). In 2004, he was elected to the Senate.
