Hans Hyldbakk
Hans Hyldbakk (8 May 1898 – 18 August 2001) was a Norwegian poet and historian. He was born and died in Surnadal. As a writer he is best known for the song '' Vårsøg''. His poetry debut came in 1929 with ''Harpespel'', and his last issue was 1998's ''Lauvfall''. Norway

Surnadal () is a municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is part of the Nordmøre region. The administrative centre is the village of Skei. Other villages in Surnadal include Glærem, Mo, Stangvik, Surnadalsøra, Sylte, Todalsøra, and Åsskard. A mild climate and rich soil make Surnadal well suited for agriculture. The local economy is based on agriculture, forestry, and industrial production, in addition to services. The municipality is the 68th largest by area out of the 356 municipalities in Norway. is the largest Norwegian biographical encyclopedia. The first edition (NBL1) was issued between 1921 and 1983, including 19 volumes and 5,100 articles. It was published by Aschehoug with economic support from the state. bought the rights to NBL1 from Aschehoug in 1995, and after a pre-project in 1996–97 the work for a new edition began in 1998. Knut Helle
Knut Helle (19 December 1930 – 27 June 2015) was a Norwegian historian. A professor at the University of Bergen from 1973 to 2000, he specialized in the late medieval history of Norway. He has contributed to several large works. Early life, education and marriage He was born in Larvik as the son of school inspector Hermann Olai Helle (1893–1973) and teacher Berta Marie Malm (1906–1991). He was the older brother of politician Ingvar Lars Helle. The family moved to Hetland when Knut Helle was seventeen years old. He took the examen artium in Stavanger in 1949, and a teacher's education in Kristiansand in 1952. He studied philology in Oslo and Bergen, and graduated with the cand.philol. degree in 1957. His paper ''Omkring Bǫglungasǫgur'', on the Bagler sagas, was printed in 1959. In December 1957 he married Karen Blauuw, who would later become a professor.
