Hans Haga
Hans Haga (8 December 1924 – 22 June 2008) was a Norwegian agrarian leader. He spent most of his career in the Norwegian Agrarian Association. He was first hired as a secretary for the county chapter in Oppland in 1952, and became press consultant nationally in 1954. In 1965 he became a member of the board, from 1974 to 1980 he was chairman of the organization and from 1980 to 1988 he was secretary general. He then worked as an advisor until retiring in 1992. For many years, the Norwegian Agrarian Association had cose ties with the Centre Party. Hans Haga hailed from Nannestad, but settled in Nes. He died in a nursing home there. Oppland
Oppland is a former county in Norway which existed from 1781 until its dissolution on 1 January 2020. The old Oppland county bordered the counties of Trøndelag, Møre og Romsdal, Sogn og Fjordane, Buskerud, Akershus, Oslo and Hedmark. The county administration was located in the town of Lillehammer. Merger On 1 January 2020, the neighboring counties of Oppland and Hedmark were merged to form the new Innlandet county. Both Oppland and Hedmark were the only landlocked counties of Norway, and the new Innlandet county is the only landlocked county in Norway. Nes is a municipality in Akershus in Viken county, Norway. It is part of the traditional region of Romerike. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Årnes. Name The municipality (originally the parish) is named after the old ''Nes'' farm (Old Norse: ''Nes'' which means "headland"), since the first church was built here. The actual ''nes'' is the headland made by the two great rivers Glomma and Vorma, which have their meeting point just south of the farm. Prior to 1889, the name was spelled ''"Næs"''. Ã…slaug Marie Haga (born 21 October 1959) is Norwegian diplomat, politician and international civil servant. She has been board chair for various organizations, including the Norwegian Institute for Nature Research (NINA) and the Peace Research Institute in Oslo (PRIO). Haga has published three books: two on Norwegian politics and one novel. She is currently the associate vice-president of the External Relations and Governance Department at the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), a specialized agency of the United Nations. Nils Agnar Valla (born 1 March 1936) was a Norwegian agrarian leader and politician for the Centre Party. He hails from and resides in Bjerka in Hemnes. He was born in Korgen, and is a brother of Gerd-Liv Valla. He was an able track and field athlete in his youth, among others achieving 56.1 seconds in the 400 metres hurdles and in the discus throw. He and his sister represented the club Mo IL. He was a farmer from 1965 until retiring in 2000. He chaired the Norwegian Agrarian Association from 1980 to 1987, was the director of agricultural insurance in Gjensidige from 1987 to 1995 and served as mayor of Hemnes from 1995 to 1999.
