Hans Brase
Hans-George Brase (Hans) (born September 15, 1993) is an American-German basketball player for Hamburg Towers of the Basketball Bundesliga. He stands 6’9’’ (205 cm) tall and plays the forward position. Career Born in Charlottesville, Virginia, Brase spent parts of his early childhood in Germany, where his parents come from, before his family settled in Clover, South Carolina. Brase attended Gaston Day School in Gastonia, North Carolina and transferred to the Hill School in Pottstown, Pennsylvania in 2010. He committed to Princeton University in 2011 and joined the Tigers for the 2012–13 season. During his freshman season, he received Ivy League Rookie of the Week honors on December 24, 2012. As a sophomore (2013–14), Brase led the team in rebounding (5.7rpg) and was the team's second-leading scorer with 11.2 points a contest. The power forward (PF), also known as the four or strong forward, is a position in basketball. Power forwards play a role similar to centers. When on offense, they typically play with their backs towards the basket. When on defense, they typically position themselves under the basket in a zone defense or against the opposing power forward in man-to-man defense. Ivy League Men's Basketball
The eight Ivy League schools compete annually in men's basketball. The following is a list of past conference champions and a list of notable players. At the conclusion of the regular season the team with the best league record is crowned league champion. If two or more teams tied for first place the league title is shared. Prior to 2017 a playoff would be held to determine the league's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. Beginning in 2017 a tournament consisting of the top four teams in the standings is held to determine the recipient of the automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
