The Western Ontario Junior C Hockey League was a Junior "C" ice hockey league in Ontario, Canada, sanctioned by the Ontario Hockey Association. Orangeville Crushers
The Orangeville Crushers were a Canadian Junior "A" ice hockey team from Orangeville, Ontario. They played in the Ontario Junior Hockey League, Midwestern Junior B Hockey League, and Mid-Ontario Junior C Hockey League. History Founded in 1975, the Stonecrushers sat out the 1978-79 season. The owners of the team opted to attempt to field a team in the Georgian Bay Intermediate A Hockey League by the name of the Orangeville Cougars. The Cougars only won twice in all of 1978-79 and the Stonecrushers were brought back for 1979-80. The team originated in the Central Ontario Junior C Hockey League, after one season in the league it became the Mid-Ontario Junior C Hockey League. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, the Crushers played in the Mid-Ontario Junior C Hockey League and won two straight league championships. Rob Hellyer
Rob Hellyer (born June 28, 1992) is a Canadian professional lacrosse player. He is a forward and alternate captain for the Toronto Rock of the National Lacrosse League. Early life Hellyer was born on June 28, 1992, in Lion's Head, Ontario, Canada. Growing up, he played junior lacrosse for Wiarton and was eventually called up by the Owen Sound North Stars’ organization to play with their Jr. B team. Following this, Hellyer played four years of Jr. A with the Orangeville Northmen, scoring 117 goals and 171 assists for 288 points in 69 games. While with the team, he was named to the league's second all-star team and won the Minto Cup in 2012. After his first year in Orangeville, Hellyer was drafted 30th overall by the Toronto Rock of the National Lacrosse League. Kevin Pollock (born February 7, 1970) is a Canadian ice hockey official. He has worked in the National Hockey League since the 1999–2000 NHL season, and officiated in ice hockey at the 2014 Winter Olympics – Men's tournament. Career Kevin Pollock was born on February 7, 1970 in Kincardine, Ontario, and has been a National Hockey League referee since the 1999–2000 NHL season, and wears uniform number 33. He was selected to work games in the ice hockey men's tournament at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, and in the 2015 Stanley Cup Finals. He refereed game 6 of the 2017 Stanley Cup Finals, with the Pittsburgh Penguins winning the game and ultimately the Stanley Cup. Jeff MacMillan
Jeff MacMillan (born March 30, 1979) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player. At the height of his career he briefly played for the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League. Career MacMillan began his career in 1996, icing for the junior team the Oshawa Generals in the OHL. MacMillan stayed with the Generals for three years, making almost 170 appearances in that time. His solid defensive play combined with a reasonable offensive output for a defenceman meant that in the 1999 NHL entry draft, MacMillan was drafted in the seventh round by the Dallas Stars. MacMillan was sent to play for the Fort Wayne Komets in the UHL, where he played just seven games before being moved to the Michigan K-Wings, a Dallas Stars affiliate team playing in the IHL. The Mitchell Hawks are a Junior ice hockey team based in Mitchell, Ontario, Canada. They play in the Provincial Junior Hockey League of the Ontario Hockey Association. History The Mitchell Hawks were founded in 1966 in one of the many Ontario Hockey Association Junior C leagues. They finished low in the standings and were allowed to compete in the Junior D provincial championships. In the Junior D play downs, the Hawks found their niche and made it all the way to the OHA Cup final against a representative from Madoc, Ontario. Goderich Flyers
The Goderich Flyers are members of the Provincial Junior Hockey League (PJHL) and are based in Goderich, Ontario, Canada. History After the failed and short-lived Lakeshore Pirates folded in 1999, the town of Goderich pushed for a new team. They were granted expansion in 2003 after the folding of the Wiarton Wolves. The team was named the Sailors after another Junior C team that had folded in 1993. The Sailors were granted a leave of absence for the 2013-14 season to try and re-organize.
