Hannah Louise Shearer
Hannah Louise Shearer (born August 25, 1945), also known as Hannah Shearer or Hannah L. Shearer, is a writer who was credited with writing five episodes whilst on the staff of '' Star Trek: The Next Generation'' and an episode of '' Star Trek: Deep Space Nine''. She was also a writer and producer for ''Emergency!'' and ''Knight Rider''. Career One of her first roles in television was as a production assistant on NBC's '' Sierra'' in 1974. She went on to become a writer and producer for ''Emergency!'', which had crossed over with ''Sierra''. She was also the writer for the pilot episode of ''Quail Lake'' which was intended to replace ''Emergency!'' but never went past a pilot entitled "Pine Canyon is Burning". Shearer was a producer for ''Knight Rider'' during the first season in 1982. She left mid-season and was replaced with Joel Rogosin. "Skin of Evil" is the 23rd episode of the first season of the American science fiction television series '' Star Trek: The Next Generation'', and originally aired on April 25, 1988, in broadcast syndication. The story premise was written by Joseph Stefano, and the screenplay was re-written by Hannah Louise Shearer. The episode was directed by Joseph L. Scanlan. Set in the 24th century, the series follows the adventures of the Starfleet crew of the Federation starship Enterprise-D. In this episode, the ''Enterprise'' races to rescue Deanna Troi (Marina Sirtis) from a crashed shuttle, which is being held captive by an alien life form called Armus ( Mart McChesney, voiced by Ron Gans). Q (Star Trek)
Q is a fictional character, as well as the name of a race, in '' Star Trek'' appearing in the '' Next Generation'', '' Deep Space Nine'', '' Voyager'', '' Lower Decks'', and '' Picard'' series and in related media. Maurice Hurley (August 16, 1939 – February 24, 2015) was an American screenwriter and producer known best for his work on '' Star Trek: The Next Generation''. Career In the 1980s, his work for television included writing scripts for '' The Equalizer'' and ''Miami Vice''. He also produced some episodes of ''The Equalizer''. He wrote the script for the film ''Firebird 2015 AD'' in 1981, and in 2002 co-wrote the film ''Groom Lake'' with William Shatner. Hurley co-created the show ''Pointman'' with Joel Surnow & Steve Hattman; Surnow would go on to create '' 24'' & '' La Femme Nikita'' and Hurley would work with him for a time there as a writer/producer. Eugene Wesley Roddenberry Sr. (August 19, 1921 – October 24, 1991) was an American television screenwriter, producer, and creator of ''Star Trek: The Original Series'', its sequel spin-off series ''Star Trek: The Animated Series,'' and ''Star Trek: The Next Generation''. ''Survivors'' is a science fiction novel set in the ''Star Trek'' expanded universe. The book is by Jean Lorrah, and takes place in the Star Trek: The Next Generation era. Plot The Enterprise is called in to deal with Treva, a human colony on the fringes of known space. For a time, it was thought to be a suitable candidate for Federation membership. Now it has sent a distress call because a brutal warlord has seized power and a revolution has sprung up. Tasha Yar is sent down with the android Data. The two soon discover the situation is more complicated than originally thought. The warlord wants Federation weapons to use against the rebels and is willing to kill whomever it takes to accomplish this goal. The novel also focuses on the unique relationship between Yar and Data and how the current situation correlates with Yar's brutal childhood.
