Hannah Button
Hannah Button (née Martin, born 27 November 1996) is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Adelaide Football Club in the AFL Women's (AFLW). Early life and state football Button tried many sports, including netball, basketball, tennis, and soccer. Only in 2017, after moving to Adelaide, did she try Australian rules football, together with her sister Rachelle. With West Adelaide, she started out playing in the amateur league but moved up quickly to the SANFL Women's League (SANFLW) for the 2018 season. She averaged 15 disposals over the season and was selected for the 2018 SANFLW Team of the Year. Furthermore, she won the 2018 SANFLW best and fairest award. In 2019, after playing a season with Adelaide in the AFL Women's (AFLW), Button joined NT Thunder for the VFL Women's (VFLW) season. Yorke Peninsula
The Yorke Peninsula is a peninsula located northwest and west of Adelaide in South Australia, between Spencer Gulf on the west and Gulf St Vincent on the east. The peninsula is separated from Kangaroo Island to the south by Investigator Strait. The most populous town in the region is Kadina. 2019 AFL Women's Draft
The 2019 AFL Women's draft consisted of the various periods when the 14 clubs in the AFL Women's competition can recruit players prior to the competition's 2020 season. At the conclusion of the period clubs were required to have 27 senior-listed and three rookie-listed players. An anterior cruciate ligament injury occurs when the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is either stretched, partially torn, or completely torn. The most common injury is a complete tear. Symptoms include pain, an audible cracking sound during injury, instability of the knee, and joint swelling. Swelling generally appears within a couple of hours. In approximately 50% of cases, other structures of the knee such as surrounding ligaments, cartilage, or meniscus are damaged. Anterior Cruciate Ligament
The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is one of a pair of cruciate ligaments (the other being the posterior cruciate ligament) in the human knee. The two ligaments are also called "cruciform" ligaments, as they are arranged in a crossed formation. In the quadruped stifle joint (analogous to the knee), based on its anatomical position, it is also referred to as the cranial cruciate ligament. The term cruciate translates to cross. VFL Women's (VFLW) is the major state-level women's Australian rules football league in Victoria. The league initially comprised the six premier division clubs and the top four division 1 clubs from the now-defunct Victorian Women's Football League (VWFL), and has since evolved into what is also the second primary competition for AFL Women's (AFLW) clubs in Victoria. Northern Territory Football Club, nicknamed NT Thunder, was a Northern Territory-based Australian rules football club that competed in the North East Australian Football League (NEAFL) between 2011 and 2019. The Australian Football League (AFL) is the only fully professional competition of Australian rules football.
