Hang Time (TV Series)
''Hang Time'' is an American teen sitcom that aired on NBC from September 9, 1995 to December 16, 2000 as part of the network's Saturday morning program block for teenagers, TNBC. Created by Troy Searer, Robert Tarlow and Mark Fink, the series featured extensive cast changes throughout its six-season run, similar to its TNBC stablemate '' Saved by the Bell: The New Class''. The show's title is taken from a sports term referring to how long a basketball player stays in the air after leaving the ground for a slam dunk. ''Hang Time'' won a Prism Award in 1999 for its accurate depictions of drug use in the season four episodes "High Hoops" and "Breaks of the Game". Reggie Theus
Reginald Wayne Theus (born October 13, 1957) is an American basketball coach and former player. He played 13 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA), where he was a two-time NBA All-Star. He is currently the head men's basketball head coach and athletic director at Bethune–Cookman. He was the head coach for the NBA's Sacramento Kings and in college with the New Mexico State Aggies and the Cal State Northridge Matadors men's teams. He was also an assistant coach for the Louisville Cardinals under Rick Pitino. Early life Theus was one of four children of Felix and Willie Mae Theus. His parents divorced when he was four. Peter Engel
Peter Engel (born ) is an American television producer who is best known for his teen sitcoms that appeared on TNBC, a former Saturday morning block on NBC which featured all teenage-oriented programs for educational purposes.
