Philip David Charles Collins (born 30 January 1951) is an English singer, musician, songwriter, record producer and actor. He was the drummer and lead singer of the rock band Genesis and also has a career as a solo performer. Between 1982 and 1990, Collins scored three UK and seven US number-one singles as a solo artist. Harry Kim is an American musician born and raised in New York City. He is best known as a member of the Phenix Horns, the celebrated horn section of Earth, Wind and Fire, as well as for his long association with Phil Collins. Biography Kim was born and raised in New York City, where he attended the High School for the Performing Arts and prepared for a career as a classical trumpeter. After high school, Kim relocated to Los Angeles, where he discovered an interest in the world of funk and jazz. He toured throughout the United States for a few years with various show groups, R&B revues, and big bands, including the Harry James Big Band, before returning to Los Angeles to further his career. Louis Edward Satterfield (April 3, 1937 – September 27, 2004) was an American bassist and trombonist. Satterfield was a member of both The Pharaohs and the Phenix Horns. He also collaborated with prominent artists such as Earth, Wind & Fire, Muddy Waters, Phil Collins, B.B King, The Emotions, Ramsey Lewis, The Whispers and The Gap Band. Biography and career Satterfield was born in Shaw, Mississippi, a city in Bolivar and Sunflower counties, Mississippi, in the Mississippi Delta region, on April 3, 1937. In the late 1950s–early 1960s, Satterfield, Charles Handy on trumpet, and Don Myrick on alto saxophone formed The Jazzmen, a student jazz trio at Crane Junior College in Chicago, Illinois. Donald Myrick (April 6, 1940 – July 30, 1993) was an American saxophonist. A member of The Phenix Horns, he is best known for his work with Earth, Wind & Fire and Phil Collins. He played alto, tenor, and soprano sax as a member of Earth, Wind & Fire's original horn section, Phenix Horns, from 1975 through 1982. Previously, Myrick had been a member of the musical group The Pharaohs. , originally known as the EWF Horns, were the main horn section for the band Earth, Wind & Fire. The horn section were composed of Don Myrick on saxophone, Louis "Lui Lui" Satterfield on trombone, Rahmlee Michael Davis on trumpet, and Michael Harris on trumpet. The Phenix Horns are also known for their work with Phil Collins and the band Genesis.
