Handan Kurğa
Handan Kurğa (born 10 September 1993) is a Turkish women's football goalkeeper currently playing in the Turkish Women's First Football League for Galatasaray in Istanbul with jersey number 17. She is a member of the Turkey women's national team. Club career Ataşehir Belediyespor Handan Kurğa obtained her license during her high school education on 11 May 2007. She became part of her high school's team Düvenciler Lisesispor, which played in the Turkish Women's Second Football League. In the 2009–10 season, the team was renamed Ataşehir Belediyespor and was promoted to the First League. The next season, her team won the league.championship. Lüleburgaz 39 Spor After capping 28 times for Ataşehir Belediyespor, Kurğa transferred to Lüleburgaz 39 Spor in the 2011–12 season, where she played one season only because the team folded. Konak Belediyespor Women's Football ( tr, Konak Belediyespor Bayan Futbol Takımı) is the women's football team of the Turkish multi-sport club of Konak Belediyespor based in Konak district of İzmir, Turkey. The team was established by the district municipality in 2006. Many players of the Konak Belediyespor women's team are members of the Turkey women's national football team. The club maintains two more teams as the girls under-17 and under-15. History After placing third in the 2009–10 season in the Women's First Football League, they became runner-up the next season. 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup Qualification – UEFA Preliminary Round
The preliminary round of the European qualifying for the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup consisted of the 16 lowest-ranked teams among the 46 entrants. The 16 teams were drawn into four groups of four teams. Each group was played in single round-robin format, where one of the teams was pre-selected as hosts, between 6 and 11 April 2017. The four group winners and the best runner-up (not counting results against the fourth-placed team) advanced to the qualifying group stage to join the 30 direct entrants. Kazakhstan, Albania, Israel and the Faroe Islands advanced as group winners, and Moldova advanced as the best runner-up. The Turkish Women's Football Super League ( tr, Kadınlar Süper Ligi), formerly the First Women's Football League (also known as the ''Turkcell Women's Football Super League'' for sponsorship reasons), is the top level women's football league of Turkey. In the 2022–23 season, one group of 10 teams and one group of nine teams play a double round robin and finals to decide a champion club, which qualifies for a spot in the UEFA Women's Champions League.
