Hand Held (film)
''Hand Held'' is a 2010 documentary feature film about photojournalist Mike Carroll, one of the first photographers to travel to Romania after the fall of the communist regime of Nicolae Ceaușescu in 1989. When he arrived, he walked into one of the most horrific scenes of the 20th century. His photographs and heart wrenching stories of the pediatric AIDS epidemic in Romania ran in the ''Boston Globe ''and'' New York Times'' and opened the eyes of the western world to the plight of Romanian children. The film chronicles Carroll's twenty-year journey to bring aid to children in a country he hardly knew, through the organization he founded, Romanian Children's Relief (RCR). Don Hahn
Donald Paul Hahn (born November 26, 1955) is an American film producer who is credited with producing some of the most successful animated films in recent history, including Disney’s ''Beauty and the Beast'' (the first animated film to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture) and ''The Lion King''. Hahn is currently Executive Producer of Disneynature films, and owns his own film production company, Stone Circle Pictures. Early life Don Hahn was born in Chicago, Illinois. His father was a Lutheran minister. When Hahn was three, his family moved to Bellflower, California, where he went to school and shot his first animated shorts in the high school film club. Mark Henry Gitenstein (born March 7, 1947) is an American lawyer and diplomat who is serving as the United States ambassador to the European Union since 2022. He was nominated by President Joe Biden on July 27, 2021, and confirmed by the United States Senate on December 18, 2021.
