Han Xiancong
Han Xiancong (; born November 1955) is a former Chinese politician from Anhui province. He was best known for his term as the Communist Party Secretary of the cities of Anqing and Chuzhou. From 2013 to 2014 he served as the vice-chairman of the Anhui provincial People's Political Consultative Conference, a largely ceremonial legislative consultation body. He was later investigated for corruption and indicted on criminal charges of bribery. Career Han was born and raised in Feixi County, Anhui. He graduated from Anhui Agricultural University. Shortly after the conclusion of the Cultural Revolution, Han worked in his hometown as a teacher at a local school. Chaohu
Chaohu () is a county-level city of Anhui Province, People's Republic of China, it is under the administration of the prefecture-level city of Hefei. Situated on the northeast and southeast shores of Lake Chao, from which the city was named, Chaohu is under the administration of Hefei, the provincial capital, and is the latter's easternmost county-level division. Formerly it was a prefecture-level city, which held administration over Wuwei, Lujiang, He and Hanshan counties until it dissolved on August 22, 2011. The Anhui provincial government announced in a controversial decision that the prefecture-level city Chaohu was to be split into three parts and absorbed into neighboring cities. Jiang Shan
Jiang Shan (; born September 1962) is a former Chinese politician who spent most of his career in east China's Anhui province. As of April 2014 he was under investigation by the Communist Party's anti-corruption agency, and he was expelled from the party and removed from office in December 2014. Nanping
Nanping (), historically known as Yanping (), is a third-tier prefecture-level city in northwestern Fujian Province, People's Republic of China. It borders Ningde to the east, Sanming to the south, and the provinces of Zhejiang and Jiangxi to the north and west respectively. Part of the famous Bú-î Mountains range is located in this prefecture. Its population was 2,680,645 as of the 2020 census whom 795,448 lived in the built-up (or metro) area made up of Yanping and Jianyang urban districts. The Eight-point Regulation of the Centre () is a set of regulations stipulated by Xi Jinping, the General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party. They were first announced on 4 December 2012, at a meeting of the Politburo of the Chinese Communist Party. These regulations were aimed at instilling more discipline among party members, and making the party " closer to the masses". In effect, it calls for party members and officials in particular to "do real work, say real things", and understand the practical situation on the ground. Central Commission For Discipline Inspection
The Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) is the highest internal control institution of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), tasked with enforcing internal rules and regulations and combating corruption and malfeasance in the party. Since the vast majority of officials at all levels of government are also Communist Party members, the commission is in practice the top anti-corruption body in China. The modern commission was established at the 3rd Plenary Session of the 11th Central Committee in December 1978. Control systems had existed previously under the name "Central Control Commission" for a brief period in 1927 and again between 1955 and 1968, and under its present name from 1949 to 1955.
