Ana Hamu
Ana Hamu was a Māori people, Māori woman of the Ngāpuhi iwi (tribe) in northern New Zealand. She was a woman of high rank and the owner of the land occupied by the New Zealand Church Missionary Society, Church Missionary Society (CMS) at Paihia. Hamu was baptised on 5 October 1834 by the Henry Williams (missionary), Revd. Henry Williams and adopted the name Ana. Hamu was the widow of Te Koki, a chief of Te Uri-o-Ngongo Hapū. They had at least two children together, Te Ahara and Rangituke. Hamu was a close relative to Eruera Maihi Patuone. Hamu gave her signature to the Treaty of Waitangi on 6 February 1840, and was one of only a few women to sign the treaty. She was connected with the CMS Girls' School in Paihia, where she kept the Māori children within bounds by her presence. She was believed to be approximately 60 years old when she died in 1848. Hamu Kayondo (born 9 March 1990) is a Ugandan cricketer. He made his List A cricket debut in the 2015 ICC World Cricket League Division Two tournament for Uganda against Canada on 24 January 2015. He was in Uganda's squad for the 2018 ICC World Cricket League Division Four tournament in Malaysia. He was the leading run-scorer for Uganda in the tournament, with 179 runs in six matches.
