The Hamilton Solar Farm is a solar farm at Collinsville in North Queensland, Australia. The power station can generate 69 megawatts of power. It is owned and operated by Gentari. The site covers 330 hectares. It is co-located with the Whitsunday Solar Farm and the Daydream Solar Farm. Power from the station is bought by ERM. Collinsville is a rural town and locality in the Whitsunday Region, Queensland, Australia. In the , Collinsville had a population of 1,496 people. Geography Collinsville is in the coal-rich Bowen Basin region of Central Queensland, north of Brisbane and south-west of the coastal town of Bowen. The Bowen Developmental Road passes through the town connecting with Bowen to the north-east and the Gregory Highway at Belyando Crossing to the south-west. The Newlands railway system passes through Collinsville serving local mines. Daydream Solar Farm
Daydream Solar Farm is a photovoltaic power station developed by Edify Energy in Springlands, Whitsunday Region, Queensland, Australia. It uses a single-axis tracking system to follow the sun across the sky. It generates up to 180MW DC and 150MW AC. Powerlink upgraded its transmission network to connect the Hayman and Daydream solar farms to the grid. Daydream has a 12-year power purchase agreement to provide electricity to Origin Energy. Whitsunday Region
The Whitsunday Region is a local government area located in North Queensland, Australia. Established in 2008, it was preceded by two previous local government areas with a history extending back to the establishment of regional local government in Queensland in 1879. It has an estimated operating budget of A$48.8m.
