Peyman Esmaeili
Peyman Esmaeili ( fa, : 1977) is an Iranian writer, critic and journalist who has written one novel and three collections of short stories, spanning Iranian modern fictions. He is well known for winning a prestigious literary award in Iran and is identified as one of the leading writers of modern Persian prose. Biography Peyman Esmaeili was born to a middle class Kurdish family raised in Kermanshah, a city that to date has not quite recovered from the Iran-Iraq war. His works are heavily influenced by endless airstrikes and casualties, and Kernashahsh's harsh winters have shaped his memories of the formative years of his life. Hooshang Golshiri Literary Awards
The Hooshang Golshiri Literary Award is an Iranian literary award notable for being one of the few literary awards in Iran that is run by a non-governmental organization. Established in 2000, the award is sponsored by the non-profit Golshiri Foundation. The award focuses on modern contemporary Iranian literature. It is named in honor of Hooshang Golshiri, one of the most distinguished pioneers of Iranian modern fiction, who died in 2000. The first award was given in 2001 (1380 Solar Hijri calendar).
