Maulana Hamdullah Jan Dagai aka Dagai Baba Ji (born; 1909 - 12 January 2019) was a Pakistani Islamic scholar and politician. He was a student of Muhammad Zakariyya al-Kandhlawi and Hussain Ahmad Madani. He was born in 1909 in Dagai, a village in Swabi District. He studied at Darul Uloom Deoband and Mazahirul Uloom Saharanpur. He died on 12 January 2019, aged 110. He was politically affiliated with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F). He was a strong supporter of peace and dialogue, especially concerning the Taliban. He believed that dialogue and negotiation, not the use of force, would help restore peace in the country. Fazal-ur-Rehman (politician)
Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman ( ur, مولانا فضلُرحمٰن; born 19 June 1953) is a Pakistani Islamic fundamentalist politician who is the president of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F). He is also the president of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), a coalition of political parties which ousted then prime minister Imran Khan through a no-confidence motion in 2022. He was a member of the National Assembly between 1988 and 2018, and the Leader of the Opposition from 2004 to 2007. He is a supporter of the Taliban government in Afghanistan and has demanded for its international recognition. In the 1980s, he was part of the Movement for the Restoration of Democracy (MRD), which was formed to end the military regime of General Zia-ul-Haq. Mufti Fareed
Muhammad Fareed (( ur, مولانا مفتی محمد فرید) 16 April 1926 – 9 July 2011) was a Pakistani Mufti and writer. He belonged to Zarobi, a village in Swabi District. He was the president and Shaykh al-Hadith of Dar al-Ifta in Darul Uloom Haqqania Akora Khattak. He was known for his ''Fatwa Faridiya'' (a collections of Fatwas in 7 volumes). Maulana Muhammad Fareed died on 9 July 2011, at the District Headquarters Hospital, Swabi, after a long illness. He was buried in his ancestral graveyard in Swabi district. Maulana Atta Ur Rehman (( ur, مولاناعطاالرحمن), born July 25, 1965) currently he is serving as Senator. He is also served as federal Minister of Tourism from 2008-2010 during PPP government. Aziz Ur Rahman Hazarvi
Aziz Ur Rahman Hazarvi (also known as Pir Azizur Rahman Hazarvi; 2 February 1948 – 23 June 2020) ( Urdu: عزیز الرحمٰن ہزاروی), was a Pakistani Islamic Scholar, senior leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) and founder of Darul Uloom Zakaria in Islamabad. He was the authorized disciple of Muhammad Zakariyya al-Kandhlawi. His disciples include Muhammad Ilyas Ghuman. Biography Hazarvi was among the disciples of Muhammad Zakariyya Kandhlawi. He was a member of Wifaq ul Madaris Al-Arabia and a senior leader of Jamiat Ulama-e-Islam. He supervised the Islamabad unit of the Jamiat Ulama-e-Islam. Hazārvi established Darul Uloom Zakariya in Tarnol, Islamabad in the memory of his teacher Kandhlawi. Hazārvi authorized various people in the Chishti branch of Tasawwuf. Jamaat-e-Islami (JI; Urdu: , "Islamic Congress"), or Jamaat as it is simply known, is an Islamist political party which is based in Pakistan and it is the Pakistani successor to Jamaat-e-Islami, which was founded in colonial India in 1941.
