''Hamar Dagblad'' (1971-2022) was a weekly, free, local newspaper published in Hamar, Norway. It is part of Edda Media. The newspaper was first published on 1 December 1971, with three weekly issues. In 2005 it was reorganized from a subscription to free newspaper, and is distributed to 17,000 households in Hamar, Furnes and Ottestad. Tore Svensrud is the editor-in-chief of the newspaper. On 21 June 2022, it was announced that the board of Østlendingen ''Østlendingen'' is a daily, regional newspaper published in Elverum, Norway. Furnes, Norway
Furnes is a village in Ringsaker Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. The village is located just west of the European route E6 highway, about from the town of Hamar to the southeast and the same distance from Brumunddal to the norhtwest. Furnes Church is located in the village. It was built in 1707 using some of the stone from the Cathedral Ruins in Hamar. This village was the administrative centre of the old Furnes Municipality that existed from 1891 until 1964. Name The village is named Furnes ( non, Furnes). Ottestad is a village in Stange Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. The village centre is located about north of the village of Stangebyen and about south of the village of Bekkelaget, Innlandet, Bekkelaget. The whole northern part of Stange, surrounding the village centre, is often referred to as Ottestad as well. Ottestad Church is located in the village. Historically, the families who lived on the Ottestad farm took that farm name as their surname. The name is a protected surname in Norway seeing that fewer than 200 people have it.
