Haluk Kurosman
Haluk Kurosman (born 1 March 1975, Istanbul) is a Turkish music producer and co-founder (together with Hadi Elazzi) of GRGDN, a music production – management company and record label; producing, mixing and mastering the albums of successful young Turkish artists. Kurosman started to play the guitar at the age of 15 and had his own band, where he was also the frontman. By the age of 23 he decided to move "backstage" and work as a producer. He is a graduate of Deutsche Schule Istanbul and Marmara University in business administration. Later he went to Canada, where he attended Ontario Institute of Audio Recording Technology (OIART) and graduated in 1999 as "perhaps the most brilliant student to attend OIART since its inception". Thus the institute has founded the ''Kurosman Award'' to be given to the most talented students. Cartel (rap Group)
Cartel is a 1995 Turkish hip hop CD project involving three groups of rappers from different German cities, which received attention and popularity in both Turkey and Germany. It was notable for using samples of traditional Turkish music instruments in hip hop music. Kolpa
The Kupa () or Kolpa ( or ; from la, Colapis in Roman times; hu, Kulpa) river, a right tributary of the Sava, forms a natural border between north-west Croatia and southeast Slovenia. It is long, with its border part having a length of and the rest located in Croatia. Aslı Gökyokuş (born 26 October 1977) is a Turkish singer. Life and career Early experience with Music Aslı Gökyokuş, who is also known as Aslı was born on 26 October 1977 in Istanbul. Her work in music began with the band that she helped form during her years at high school, which was called "Phoenix". The group started off like any other Garage rock, garageband, which had their members doing their own thing and performing gigs at their high school whenever possible. Following their high school years, a few of the founding members of the band left and only to be replaced by new interested members. Of course, Aslı stayed as she continued performing and working with her band mates. With the new group members being added, the band decided to change their names to that of, "Mary Jane". "We Could Be the Same" ( tr, Aynı Olabiliriz) is a song by Turkish band maNga that was performed as the Turkish entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2010, held in Oslo, Norway, and which came in second place. There are 3 versions available on official CD single, called as Brussels (Eurovision version), Istanbul (Single version), and Stockholm (Extended version). Selection Throughout January it was reported that maNga had entered an intense period in preparation for Eurovision, perfecting songs for submission to TRT. In February 2010 maNga submitted three songs to TRT, who was in charge of selecting the competing Eurovision song. All songs were in English. We Could Be The Same, the selected song, was announced from TRT on 3 March. Music video The music video for the song was filmed on the Bosporus Strait opposite the Golden Horn on board an oil tanker.
