Halmstad Arena is a multi purpose area in Halmstad, Sweden. Halmstad Arena is used for sport activities, concerts, meetings and fairs. Construction began on 15 November 2007 and the arena was officially opened on 20 February 2010. Halmstad Arena The main arena building The main building at Halmstad Arena includes four full size sport halls, five smaller special halls, two full size ice rinks and one smaller ice rink, rink and a waterpark/swimming pool, indoor swimming pool. Other facilities The area also includes a skatepark, twelve full size soccer fields, two full size soccer fields with Artificial turf, artificial playing surface, five smaller soccer fields and an outdoor facility for Track and field athletics, track & field and soccer practice. The Houston Academy for International Studies (HAIS) is a Houston Independent School District charter school in Midtown Houston, Texas, United States. It is located on the Houston Community College System's Central College campus. It opened in August 2006. Mission The school focuses on preparing students for university and their roles in society as global citizens. It is a small high-school program, designed to serve up to 400 students in grades 9 through 12. It opened initially to 100 9th graders for the 2006-2007 school year and plans to add a new 9th-grade class of 100 students every year, as each previous class advances. HK Drott
HK Drott Halmstad is a handball club, based in Halmstad, Sweden. The club has won the Swedish Championship eleven times, last in 2013. Together with Redbergslids IK, HK Drott have dominated Swedish handball between 1984 and 2003. This club has had many famous players, among them Magnus Andersson, Ola Lindgren, Bengt Johansson and Göran Bengtsson. History The founding HK Drott was founded on 10 March 1936 by Lars-Erik Dymne, Erik Månsson, Arvid Fridh and Ingvar Svensson, all 13 years of age; the club was originally formed as a football club. A few games were then played in 1937, with HK Drott winning all games played in the rural areas, while at least 3 of the games played in town were lost.
