Patrick Hally
Patrick Hally (1866 – 21 July 1938) was a Catholic bootmaker turned politician in Dunedin at the turn of the twentieth century. He was one of the three original conciliation commissioners appointed under the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act in 1909. Early life Hally was born in 1866 in Dunedin, the eldest son of John Hally. He was educated locally at the Christian Brothers' School before leaving to start an apprenticeship in the boot making trade. In 1891 he established his own shoemaking business in George Street, Dunedin. Political career Hally was involved in local politics much of his life. He was a Labour movement sympathiser, and in 1899 became the president of the New Zealand Federal Tailoresses' Union and later was a Dunedin City Councillor, elected to represent the Bell Ward in 1902. Philip Hally
Rear Admiral Philip John Hally, is a senior Royal Navy officer who served as Assistant Chief of the Naval Staff, People Transformation. Naval career Hally joined the Royal Navy on 18 September 1991. He served as logistics officer on the aircraft carrier as part of the relief effort for Typhoon Haiyan in 2013. He went on to become Programme Leader for the Defence Support Network Transformation Programme in September 2014, Assistant Chief of Staff Resources and Plans in November 2017, and Assistant Chief of the Naval Staff, People Transformation in May 2019. He also became Naval Secretary in January 2020. Hally Jolivette Sax
Hally Delilia Mary Jolivette Sax (June 22, 1884 – March 20, 1979),''U.S., Social Security Death Index, 1935-2014'' was an American botanist known for her work on the chromosomal structure of plant species and how it is affected by radiation and other mutagens. Biography Hally Jolivette received her A.B. in 1906 and her A.M. in 1909 — both from the University of Wisconsin — and her Ph.D. from Stanford University in 1912. She taught at the University of Wisconsin (1907–10), Stanford (1910–12), and Washington State College (1912–14). While at the latter institution, she met and in 1915 married the botanist Karl Sax, one of her cytology students. They later had three sons. She worked for a year for the U.S. Department of Agriculture (1914–15) before taking up a position as an instructor of botany in 1916 at Wellesley College in Wellesley, Massachusetts. David Hally
David Judson Halley (born April 16, 1940) is an American archaeologist known for his work at several southeastern sites. He retired from the University of Georgia in 2010 and currently resides in Athens, Georgia. Early life Hally was born on April 16, 1940, in Natick, Massachusetts. He attended Dartmouth for his undergraduate degree and was one of the first two students at Dartmouth to graduate with a major in anthropology. He then received his Masters and PhD in anthropology from Harvard University. He wrote his dissertation, which he did not finish until 1972, on his fieldwork from 1963 to 1964 in the Tensas Basin in northeastern Louisiana. Academic career Hally was appointed assistant professor at the University of Georgia in 1967. Hally Pancer (born 1961) is an American photographer, who lives in Paris, France. She is a visiting professor at Sciences Po in Paris and the École Superieure d'Art et de Design in Amiens, France.
