Halls High School (Knox County, Tennessee)
Halls High School is a high school in the Halls Crossroads suburb of Knoxville, Tennessee, operated by Knox County Schools. Founded in 1916, the school was one of the first in the area. It is named for Pulaski Hall, a prominent citizen and owner of one of the first businesses in the town. The school includes the North Knox Career and Technical Education Center. The principal is Spencer Long, who replaced the retiring, Mark Duff. Mr. Duff was a longtime history teacher at Halls High before entering administration in Knox County Schools. Spencer Long is a alumni of Halls High School. Academics Halls High School offers an extensive academic array from technical studies to college preparatory programs. Mu Alpha Theta () is the United States mathematics honor society for high school and two-year college students. In June 2015, it served over 108,000 student members in over 2,200 chapters in the United States and in 20 foreign countries. Chad C. Finchum (born September 22, 1994) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He last competed part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 13 Toyota Supra for MBM Motorsports. Finchum has also driven several races in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, capturing a victory at Bristol Motor Speedway in that series, and in the NASCAR Cup Series. Pearl-Cohn Entertainment Magnet School (or simply Pearl High School) is a public magnet high school located in Nashville, Tennessee. History Pearl-Cohn was established in 1983 when Pearl High School and Cohn High School merged to form Pearl Cohn Comprehensive High School. Teens for Christ (TFC) is a non-profit organization whose aim is that of "turning teenagers into fully committed followers of Jesus Christ". To reach young people, Teens for Christ hosts weekly meetings during the school year in various locations throughout local communities. History of TFC Youth For Christ was formed in the 1940s in Allen County, Ohio. The Technology Student Association (TSA) is a national student organization created to develop skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) as well as business education.
