David Hallberg
David Hallberg (born May 18, 1982) is an American classical ballet dancer. He was a principal dancer with American Ballet Theatre and resident guest artist at The Australian Ballet, as well as a principal dancer with the Bolshoi Ballet. In 2021, Hallberg became the artistic director of The Australian Ballet. Early life Hallberg was born in Rapid City, South Dakota, and grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. He was inspired to dance when he saw a Fred Astaire film in the family living room. With his family's support, he trained at the Ballet Arizona School under the direction of Kee Juan Han. In 1999 he studied for one year at the Paris Opera Ballet School, then joined American Ballet Theatre's Studio Company in 2001. Melker Hallberg (born 20 October 1995) is a Swedish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for St Johnstone. Hallberg began his senior career at Kalmar FF, then in 2014, he signed for Italian club Udinese, and during his time there went on loan to Vålerenga, Hammarby IF, Ascoli and Kalmar FF. Marcus T. Hallberg (born December 9, 1985) is an American professional baseball first base coach for the San Francisco Giants. A former infielder. During his junior and senior seasons in high school, Hallberg did not strike out once. He then batted .362 in his three-year college career. Gary George Hallberg (born May 31, 1958) is an American professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour, Nationwide Tour, and Champions Tour. Amateur career Hallberg was born in Berwyn, Illinois. He attended Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and was a member of the golf team. He was a member of the 1977 Walker Cup team. In addition, Hallberg was the individual medalist at the 1979 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championships. There were expectations that he would turn pro at this time. Bob Hallberg
Bob Hallberg (February 10, 1944 – November 19, 2019) was a college basketball coach, and the head coach of the St. Xavier University Women's Basketball team from 2000-2019. Hallberg's career started at Kennedy High School, where he was the boys coach for five seasons from 1966-1971. Hallberg then moved on to the college game, where he coached for the rest of his career. From 1971 until 1977, he led the men's basketball team at Saint Xavier and then moved on to his alma-mater, Chicago State University, where he coached from 1977 until 1987. Hallberg moved to the University of Illinois at Chicago for nine years before coming back to SXU in 2000 and becoming the first coach of the school's newly formed women's basketball program.
