Frederick Hallard
Frederick Hallard FRSE PRSSA (11 May 1821 – 12 January 1882) was a Scottish advocate and legal author. He served as senior Sheriff-Substitute for Midlothian 1855 to 1882 and was director of the Edinburgh Philosophical Institution and president of the Royal Scottish Society of Arts. Life He was born in Edinburgh on 11 May 1821 the son of Nicholas Michael Hallard, a French teacher, living on Minto Street in Edinburgh’s south side. His father had previously been a soldier in the French Revolutionary War but had emigrated to Britain along with other Royalist refugees during the period of persecutions, and found his way to Edinburgh. Aged four he was returned to his father’s native town of Avranches in Normandy to begin his education (which is father should be under the French system now the wars were over). Ian Hallard
Ian Christopher Hallard (born 9 November 1974) is an English actor and writer. His work includes acting roles in the West End, including the lead role of Michael in a revival of Mart Crowley's '' The Boys in the Band''; at the National Theatre and on television. He has also written and script edited for both television and stage. Early and personal life Hallard was born in Birmingham, West Midlands on 9 November 1974. Following his education at Solihull School and an undergraduate degree at the University of Sheffield, he trained at the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts on the Post Graduate Acting course, won a singing scholarship, and graduated in 1998. He lives with his husband, the actor and screenwriter Mark Gatiss. The couple live in Islington in London. Nick Hallard (born 1975) is an artist based in Worthing in the United Kingdom, known primarily for his work on pub signs. He is the owner of Eyebright Murals, which supplies his hand-painted signs to the inn trade in the UK and beyond, as well as to private and specialist customers. His commissions include a sign for the Duck and Cover, the staff bar in the United States embassy in Kabul. He has also carried out restoration work on 1920s lead frescoes for Worthing Borough Council, and supplied mural installations for Great Ormond Street children's hospital's Christmas parties for past and present patients in 2006 and 2007. Steven Leslie Hallard (born 22 February 1965 in Rugby, Warwickshire, England) is a British archer who was a member of the British squad that won the team bronze medals at the 1988 and 1992 Summer Olympics. Olympics Hallard has competed for Great Britain at four Olympic Games. His first appearance came in 1984 in Los Angeles where he shot a score of 2473 and finished in 21st position in the individual event. At the 1988 Olympics in Seoul a new elimination format was introduced for archery events. In the individual event Hallard ranked 7th in the preliminary round to qualify for the next round but was knocked out of the competition following a 21st-place finish in the 1/8 final. For the first time in Olympic competition a team event was also held. Hallard was part of the British team that also included Richard Priestman and Leroy Watson. Hallard White
Hallard Leo "Snow" White (27 March 1929 – 14 July 2016) was a New Zealand rugby union player. A prop, White played a record 195 games for at provincial level between 1950 and 1963. He was a member of the New Zealand national side, the All Blacks, from 1953 to 1955, appearing in 16 matches including four internationals. Following his retirement as a player, White served in both coaching and administrative roles: as assistant coach of Auckland; president of the Auckland Rugby Football Union from 1989 to 1989; and president of the New Zealand Rugby Union in 1990.
