Halla Mohieddeen
Halla Mohieddeen (born 13 October 1979) is a Scottish journalist, broadcaster and television presenter. Biography Mohieddeen was born to a Lebanese father and Scottish mother. She studied Interpreting and Translating at the Heriot-Watt University. She previously presented the ''Morning News'' and ''Middle East Matters'' programmes for Paris-based 24 hour international news channel, France 24. The Heriot-Watt University graduate from the Scottish Borders has also worked for a number of Chinese TV and radio stations, including CCTV, Xinhua News Network Corporation and Beijing Radio 774. From April 2017 to June 2018, she was the anchor of the nightly Scottish news programme '' STV News Tonight'' on STV2. She was a Principal Presenter with Al Jazeera English in Doha. The Court of the Lord Lyon (the Lyon Court) is a standing court of law, based in New Register House in Edinburgh, which regulates heraldry in Scotland. The Lyon Court maintains the register of grants of arms, known as the Public Register of All Arms and Bearings in Scotland, as well as records of genealogies. The Lyon Court is a public body, and the fees for grants of arms are paid to HM Treasury. It is headed by the Lord Lyon King of Arms, who must be legally qualified, as he has criminal jurisdiction in heraldic matters, and the court is fully integrated into the Scottish legal system, including having a dedicated prosecutor, known in Scotland as a procurator fiscal. ''STV News'' is a Scottish news service produced by STV. The news department produces two regional services covering STV's Channel 3 franchise areas of Northern and Central Scotland. STV2
STV2 was a British local television network in Scotland, operating five city-based TV licences serving Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, Aberdeen and Ayr. It was owned and operated by STV Group plc. Initially broadcast as two separate stations – STV Glasgow and STV Edinburgh – the launch of three local licences in Aberdeen, Dundee and Ayr led to the launch of a single networked service on 24 April 2017.
