Halla Margrét Árnadóttir or Halla Margrét (born 23 April 1964 in Reykjavík) is an Icelandic singer who represented her country in the Eurovision Song Contest 1987, in Brussels. In that competition, she sang the entry "" (in english language, English: (''Slowly and Quietly'') with music and lyrics by Valgeir Guðjónsson; the conductor was Hjálmar Ragnarsson. The song ended in 16th place (22 countries) and received 28 points. Since 1997, Halla Margrét has been an opera and concert singer. Freydis Halla Einarsdóttir (born 3 October 1994) is an Icelandic alpine ski racer. She was a student at Plymouth State University in Plymouth, New Hampshire. She is currently studying medicine in Iceland and published an article in the Icelandic Journal of medicine in may 2023 about the effect of obesity on the outcome of surgical aortic valve replacement for aortic stenosis. Joseph (Josef) Halla (2 June 1814 – 12 January 1887) was an Austrian physician of Czech parentage born in Prague. In 1847 he received his medical doctorate from the University of Prague, and shortly afterwards obtained his habilitation. From 1850 to 1854 he was an associate professor and director of the Prague medical clinic. Afterwards he served as a "full professor" and chief physician at the ''Allgemaine Krankenhaus''.
