Haldenstein railway station is a railway station in the northern part of the municipality of Chur, in the Swiss canton of Grisons. The station is on the Rhaetian Railway's Landquart–Thusis line. The Swiss Federal Railways Chur–Rorschach line runs parallel but has no intermediate stops between Chur and Landquart. The station serves the municipality of Haldenstein, located on the other side of the River Rhine. Haldenstein is a former municipality in the Plessur Region in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. On 1 January 2021 the former municipality of Haldenstein merged into the municipality of Chur. History Haldenstein is first mentioned in 1149 as ''Lanze''. In 1370 it was mentioned as ''Lentz inferior''. Geography Haldenstein had an area, , of . Of this area, 25.6% is used for agricultural purposes, while 53.9% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 2.1% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (18.4%) is non-productive (rivers, glaciers or mountains). Scuol-Tarasp Railway Station
Scuol-Tarasp railway station is the northern terminus of the Bever–Scuol-Tarasp railway. It is located on the western edge of the village of Scuol at an altitude of 1287 m in the Lower Engadine. The station is named after the neighbouring village of Scuol and the small town of Tarasp. Scuol-Tarasp station was completely rebuilt and renovated in 2009. Since then, a Postbus stop has been located on the right side of the station building; this is the starting point for Postbus routes in the Lower Engadine. In addition, an island platform was built with platform track 1 as a dead-end track and track 2 as a through track. This allows direct access to the trains and platform at ground level. Disentis/Mustér Railway Station
Disentis/Mustér railway station is the eastern terminus of the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn line from Brig via Andermatt, and the western terminus of the Rhaetian Railway line from Landquart via Chur and Reichenau-Tamins. The station is located on the south bank of the river in the village and municipality of Disentis/Mustér, in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. Layout The station has three platform tracks, served by a side platform and an island platform, which are situated beneath an overall canopy. The station building is on the northern side of the line and gives direct access to the side platform, whilst the island platform is accessed through a pedestrian subway. RegioExpress
RegioExpress (RE) is a fast regional train service in Switzerland, run by Swiss Federal Railways (SBB CFF FFS) or other railway companies (such as TILO, BLS, tpf, transN, THURBO or RhB). It is comparable to the Regional-Express in Germany, Austria and Luxembourg. Its speed is considerably faster than regional trains at the same level, as it does not stop at all stations served by the regional trains. Nonetheless, it is slightly slower than InterRegio trains.
