Hajji Washington (film)
''Hajji Washington'' ( fa, حاجی واشنگتن, italic=yes) is an Iranian comedy/drama film directed by Ali Hatami. The film is a fictionalized account of Iran's first ambassador to the United States, Hajji Washington. Filmed in Italy (filling in for Washington, D.C.) and Ghazali Cinematic Mini-City in 1982, ''Hajji Washington'' was not publicly screened in Iran until 1998. The film's music is by the late Persian classical musician Mohammad Reza Lotfi. Ali Hatami
Ali Hatami ( fa, علی حاتمی , August 14, 1944 – December 7, 1996) was an Iranian film director, screenwriter, art director, and costume designer. The ''Tehran Times'' dubbed him "the Hafez of Iranian cinema due to the poetic ambiance of his movies." Career Hatami graduated from the College of Dramatic Arts in Iran and subsequently began his professional career as a writer. He made his feature film directorial debut with ''Hasan Kachal'' (''Hasan the Bald'') in 1970, which was the first Iranian musical film. He wrote and directed several films that focused on Iranian culture, including ''Hajji Washington'' (1982), ''Kamalolmolk'' (1984), and '' Love Stricken'' (1992). Hajji Hossein-Gholi Noori
Hajji ( ar, الحجّي; sometimes spelled Hadji, Haji, Alhaji, Al-Hadj, Al-Haj or El-Hajj) is an honorific title which is given to a Muslim who has successfully completed the Hajj to Mecca. It is also often used to refer to an elder, since it can take years to accumulate the wealth to fund the travel (and did particularly before the advent of mass air travel), and in many Muslim societies to a respected man as an honorific title. The title is placed before a person's name; for example, Saif Gani becomes ''Hajji Saif Gani''. Hadži is also used in Orthodox Christianity for people who go on pilgrimage to the grave of Christ in Jerusalem. Stephen Grover Cleveland (March 18, 1837June 24, 1908) was an American lawyer and politician who served as the 22nd and 24th president of the United States from 1885 to 1889 and from 1893 to 1897. Mohammad Reza Lotfi
Mohammad-Reza Lotfi ( fa, محمدرضا لطفی; 1 January 1947 – 2 May 2014) was an Iranian classical musician renowned for his mastery of the tar and setar. He collaborated with singers such as Mohammad-Rezā Shajarian, Hengameh Akhavan, Shahram Nazeri and Alireza Shahmohammadi. Life and career Encouraged by his older brother, he learned to play the tar and showed his talent by winning the first prize in Iran's Young Musicians Festival in 1964. The following year, he started his studies at the Persian National Music Conservatory in Tehran under Habibollah Salehi and Master Ali Akbar Shahnazi. He was a tar player for the Fine Arts Administration Orchestra (Saba Orchestra) under the direction of Hossein Dehlavi. Ezzatolah Entezami ( fa, عزتالله انتظامی, 21 June 1924 – 17 August 2018) was an Iranian actor.
