Hailemariam And Roman Foundation
The Hailemariam and Roman Foundation () is a non-profit organization based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The foundation was established in April 2018 by former Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn and former First Lady Roman Tesfaye. The foundation's programs are focused on improving the health and nutrition of young children and mothers, as well as transforming the tourism and conservation of selected national parks in the most remote areas of Ethiopia. Co-founder, Hailemariam Desalegn, said the foundation will give priority to Afar, Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples' Region, Benishangul-Gumuz and Gambella states. Benishangul-Gumuz Region
Benishangul-Gumuz ( am, ቤንሻንጉል ጉሙዝ, Benšangul Gumuz) is a regional state in northwestern Ethiopia to the border of Sudan. It was previously known as Region 6. The region's capital is Assosa. Following the adoption of the 1995 constitution, the region was created from the westernmost portion of the Gojjam province (the part north of the Abay River), and the northwestern portion of the Welega Province (the part south of the Abay). The name of the region comes from two peoples – Berta (also called Benishangul) and Gumuz. The region has faced major challenges to economic development, due to lack of transportation and communications infrastructure. Wolayita Zone
Wolayita or Wolaita is an administrative zone in Ethiopia. It is named for the Welayta people, whose homeland is in the zone. Wolayita is bordered on the south by Gamo Gofa, on the west by the Omo River which separates it from Dawro, on the northwest by Kembata Tembaro, on the north by Hadiya, on the northeast by the Oromia Region, on the east by the Bilate River which separates it from Sidama Region, and on the south east by the Lake Abaya which separates it from Oromia Region.
