The Haikou People's Hospital () is located on Renmin Avenue, Haidian Island, Haikou Haikou (; ), also spelled as Hoikow is the capital and most populous city of the Chinese province of Hainan. Haikou city is situated on the northern coast of Hainan, by the mouth of the Nandu River. The northern part of the city is on the Ha ... City, Hainan Province, China. The hospital was founded in 1901, and has a staff of 2,254 people. There are available 1,700 beds, with a further 1,200 planned. The hospital has a total floor space of 250,000 square meters, containing an approximately 500 million yuan worth of medical equipment. The main building on Renmin Avenue was constructed from about 2008 to 2011. Haidian Island
Haidian Island () is an island that forms part of the city of Haikou, Hainan Province, China. It is separated from the main part of Haikou by the Haidian River. The north coast faces the Qiongzhou Strait. The east coast faces Xinbu Island, separated by part of the Nandu River. The west coast faces Haikou Bay. Both Renmin Avenue and Heping Avenue are the main streets on the island. The former that runs through the middle of the island from the south at the Renmin Bridge to the north shore at the newly built Baishamen Park, which contains an amusement park.
