Nicholas Hagger
Nicholas Hagger (born 1939, London) is a British people, British poet, man of letters, cultural historian and commentator, and philosopher. He has been a proponent of philosophical Universalism. Hagger was educated at Oaklands School in Loughton, Essex and at Chigwell School, Essex, where he read Classics. He attended Worcester College, Oxford, where he read English Literature under Christopher Ricks. Espionage career Hagger worked with British Intelligence in the 1960s and early 1970s. He was talent spotted by John Cecil Masterman, provost of Worcester College while Hagger was there. He was interviewed by Charles Woodhouse at MI6's "front office" in Carlton_House_Terrace#Occupants, 3 Carlton Gardens. In his two volume memoirs, ''My Double Life'' he says he declined permanent involvement with MI6, but describes periodic involvement with intelligence assignments spying on Muamar Gaddafi and African national liberation movements such as UNITA, ZANU, ZAPU, and the MPLA. Lloyd Hagger
Lloyd Hagger (7 December 1898 – 27 June 1968) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Geelong Football Club in the Victorian Football League (1897–1989), Victorian Football League (VFL) from 1917 VFL season, 1917 to 1929 VFL season, 1929. Football Recruited from Barwon Football Club, Barwon in the Geelong & District Football League, Geelong & District Football Association, Hagger played as a key position forward and was known for his high marking and ability to kick goals from difficult angles. Named captain-coach of Geelong in 1924 VFL season, 1924, Hagger was captain for only one season, handing the job over to Cliff Rankin. In 1925 VFL season, 1925 Geelong won the premiership and Hagger was the Coleman Medal, League's leading goalkicker, with 78 for the season. Peter Hagger
Peter Hagger (17 April 1944 – 26 February 1995) was a British trade unionist. Born in London, Hagger became a computer engineer, but in 1969 instead became a taxi driver. He joined the Transport and General Workers' Union (TGWU), becoming prominent in its Cab Section. By the end of the 1970s, he was Chair of the Region 1 Cab Trade Committee, and in 1980 he was elected to the union's General Executive Council. In this role, he devised an index which was later adopted by the Department of Transport to calculate annual increases in taxi fares. During his time at the he also wrote a document called ''a National Framework for Taxis'', which was referred to in the parliamentary debate around the Private Hire Vehicles (London) Act 1998. Kim Hagger
Kim Hagger (born 2 December 1961) is a retired English athlete who competed mainly in the heptathlon and the long jump. She represented Great Britain at the 1984 Summer Olympics, 1984 Los Angeles Olympics and the 1988 Summer Olympics, 1988 Seoul Olympics. Career Hagger was born in Plaistow, Newham, Plaistow, Essex. She won the AAA Championships Under 15 long jump title in 1975 and 1976, and the Under 17 title in 1977 and 1978. She competed at her first Olympic Games in Athletics at the 1984 Summer Olympics, Los Angeles 1984, finishing eighth in the heptathlon with 6127 points. In 1986, she reached her peak at both heptathlon and long jump. In May, she achieved a score of 6259 in Arles. As of 2014, this still ranks her sixth on the UK all-time heptathlon list. Rubeus Hagrid () is a fictional character in the ''Harry Potter'' book series written by J. K. Rowling.
