Haggard () is a German symphonic metal band founded in 1989. The group combines classical music and early music with death doom metal. History Haggard was founded in 1989 and originally played death metal. They changed their musical style after their first demo tape, ''Introduction'' in 1992, becoming a band with symphonic melodies and classical instruments but folk themes. The album '' And Thou Shalt Trust... the Seer'' marked their breakthrough in 1997. After their second album '' Awaking the Centuries'' (the life of the prophet Nostradamus), they toured through Mexico twice. In 2004, they released their third album '' Eppur Si Muove'' which is about the life of Italian scholar Galileo Galilei, sentenced to house arrest for heresy by the Catholic Church for supporting Copernicus' claim that the Earth revolved around the sun. ''Haggard'' is a British TV comedy series, which aired from 1990 to 1992. Starring Keith Barron, Reece Dinsdale, Sam Kelly and William Simons. It was made for the ITV network by Yorkshire Television, and based on ''Squire Haggard's Journal'' by Michael Green, more famous for his ''The Art of Coarse...'' books. The series is set during 1777–1778, in the Georgian era, and was about the exploits of Squire Haggard, the Squire's 25-year-old son Roderick, and their servant Grunge. The show makes use of the production style known as breaking the fourth wall as Fanny Foulacre, Roderick's girlfriend, makes asides to the camera, commenting upon the situations she finds herself in. "The Movie" is the 54th episode of the sitcom ''Seinfeld''. It is the 14th episode of the fourth season, and first aired on January 6, 1993 on NBC. The episode revolves entirely around the characters' struggles to go to see a movie together. Plot Jerry has two stand-up acts scheduled for the same night; due to a delay in one of them, he cannot make both shows. A hopeful comedian, Buckles, hangs around to fill in when somebody drops out. Jerry agrees to lose his moment at the microphone, as he is meeting his friends to see a movie, ''CheckMate'', at 10:30. On his way to the movie theater, Jerry is grabbed by Buckles, who insists on sharing a taxicab. Buckles irritates Jerry by trying out a new comic routine. Beagle and published in 1968, by Viking Press in the U.S. and The Bodley Head in the U.K. It follows the tale of a unicorn, who believes she is the last of her kind in the world and undertakes a quest to discover what has happened to the other unicorns. USS Haggard (DD-555)
USS ''Haggard'' (DD-555) was a ''Fletcher''-class destroyer of the United States Navy named for Captain Haggard of the '' Louisa'', who fought in the Quasi-War. ''Haggard'' was launched by Seattle-Tacoma Shipbuilding Co., Seattle, Wash., 9 February 1943, sponsored by Mrs. E. B. McKinney; and commissioned 31 August 1943. ''Haggard'' departed for shakedown training off California 29 September and after completing it departed Seattle 24 November for Pearl Harbor. The ship arrived 30 November 1943 and spent the next 2 months in tactical exercises with other destroyers in Hawaiian waters. Her first combat operation was to be the forthcoming invasion of the Marshall Islands, next step on the island road to Japan. Central Pacific The ship sailed 22 January 1944 for the Marshalls.
